Features : Rome The BroGod releases new single ‘Out of The Dark’

HARLEM, NY - Rome The BroGod is an artist with a passion for the work he does. Beginning as a young choral student and writer, he previously being signed to Malik Yusef, since being independent having opened up for artist like Pnb rock/ a boogie, capella Grey and others he looks to continue his way up to a career as a recording artist. Now, Rome is sharing his love for music and his experiences with the world through songs like his new single, “Out of The Dark”.

Rome’s newest single is about being proud of who he is and where he’s come from. “Out of The Dark” focuses on Rome’s story, from becoming a young father through his journey to where he is today. Starting out as just a kid on the streets, he found a way off the streets and onto a better path.

“I had a kid at a young age and when you have a kid you have to provide. So I hit the streets,” Rome explained. “When I say ‘Out of The Dark’, I mean, that’s where I was when I didn’t know any better. I came to a place where I got the hustle in more of a legal way.”

“Out of The Dark”, like many of Rome’s other songs, was created with the hope of being something that people could relate to.  It explores how a person can grow and utilize the things that they have gained in their lives to continue to grow, despite where the knowledge may have come from. The whole track is about being able to move on and grow from the place you once were.

With the coming year, Rome plans to continue to build himself up, growing his fanbase and sharing his music with the world. He hopes to share his knowledge and skill with other artists, who also hopes to build up over the rest of 2022.

Following “Out of The Dark”, Rome is planning to release a few new videos and continue to prepare for his upcoming EP No Shame, which will feature both “Out of The Dark” and the project’s title track, the previously released song “No Shame”. “This EP is about me feeling no shame in who I am, in where I came from, and no shame in where I am now,” said Rome.
