Features : The Crowe Boys Lace Purpose and Intention into Alternative Music with Their Latest Album, “Good Days”

Bonded through family, loss, and love, The Crowe Boys are a trio of brothers bringing fresh sounds and thoughtful lyrics to the alternative music scene. With purpose and intention laced into every track, their new album, “Good Days,” is a beacon of the passion and insight the band wants to share with the world.

“Good Days” features songs including “Ivory,” “Simple Truth,” and “Josephine.” Scheduled for a May 27, 2022 release, the album includes three songs that were previously released on an EP. The album explores the ups and down—through happiness and loss—that the band has experienced over the years. Packed with authentic lyrics and masterful riffs, “Good Days” is sure to capture audiences across genres.

“As far as writing music goes, there are bigger inspirations for what we do,” says one of The Crowe Boys, Ocie Crowe. The primary lyricist of the brother group, Ocie shares that many lyrics “are birthed from our jam sessions.” These musical gathering are the brothers’ opportunity to have fun and unwind—particularly on days when one of them needs encouragement.

The Crowe Boys grew up on a diet of traveling and playing music. In the early 2000s, their mother was diagnosed with cancer. For the following five years, the family held strong in support of their mother, who sadly passed after an arduous battle. The loss of their mother shaped The Crowe Boys in innumerable ways. “I feel like a lot of the music industry revolves around catchy lyrics and riffs but I think our music has an agenda of bringing value to people,” explains Ocie.

The Crowe Boys keep their music personal yet relatable. From delving into personal and family struggles to finding ways to encourage people, the group writes about real topics that listeners can identify with. Day to day inspirations may differ, but the passion behind their music remains the same.

What’s a struggle they sometimes face? Ocie shares, “I think for our band, we really love to see people grow and better themselves. Sometimes it’s hard not knowing whether or not our music is really making a difference in people’s lives. There’s a lot of anxiety and depression that surrounds not knowing if you’re really making an impact on people.” It’s this level of introspection and honesty that makes the band so relatable.

The Crowe Boys believe in making a difference, starting with inspirational lyrics that help listeners feel heard. The artists want to show listeners that there’s hope, that “life is so much more than this one difficult hurdle. Don’t take for granted the moments that you have—every moment is a gift. You don’t know what tomorrow holds—don’t take it for granted.”

With a fresh album on the horizon, The Crowe Boys are already working on their next project. The trio has taken the stage more times than they can count and can’t wait to reach more fans nationwide. Over the new few months, they’ll be releasing music videos for a handful of the songs on the “Good Days” album. (And listeners may receive an acoustic version of the album by the end of the year!)
