Victory Edmondson—otherwise known as Flame.45—is a rapper and creator of the brand M.O.S. With thousands of Spotify listens, the artist is excited to share his latest release, a mixed tape called “Chicago Sugg.”
Flame.45’s newest album, “Chicago Sugg,” is a mix of rap, R&B, and “softer stuff.” According to the artist, there’s “a little something for everyone” in his music. “My music is unique—very versatile,” explains Flame.45. “I create music that the public would want to hear. Especially in this generation where people aren’t afraid of change.”
The artist finds inspiration close to home. “My kids inspire me,” says Flame.45. “That’s what makes me drive and go hard.” The father of three loves spending time with family, an experience lacking in his youth without a father. “Of course they listen to my music—but only the ones I allow them to hear,” says the artist of sharing his music with his family.
When it comes to making music, Flame.45 loves all of the process, particularly the lyrical portion. “My craft is writing. I could’ve been a ghost writer—that’s how easy it is to write,” he shares. In regards to finding the beats to create new songs, Flame.45 isn’t tied to a single source—it’s really about the feeling. “At the moment, it has to just hit. I have to feel it. Once I listen to it, I have to feel something from it,” he explains. “If I’m vibing with the beat, the beat feels me, and we go at it together.”
For Flame.45, his biggest accomplishment to date is how far he has come in his musical journey. “I really didn’t expect the outcome when I first started. I just jumped out there. I know my talent; I just wasn’t expecting the outcome,” he reflects on his streams and listens toping 35k on United Masters. He’s come a long way and he recognizes that. “I feel personally every time I go back to the studio, I progress. So if you think this is good, wait til you hear what’s coming next.”
In the next year, Flame.45 is looking forward to releasing more music and performing live shows. He’s fully prepared to take on whatever comes his way.
