CHICAGO – Hot on the heels of his best performing song yet, Young DRA says his newest hit single “No Rental” has the capability to be another winner in the world of hip-hop and rap.

The 24-year-old artist kicked off 2022 with “Passengers,” produced by Grammy Award-winning Xcelence, and it’s already hit over 1.5M views. “No Rental” just went live – crafted with the same fresh sounds and vibes that easily won over fans. It’s described as an eclectic soul, trap, and hip-hop mix with its rhythmic flow and clever wordplay.

DRA says his latest singles are simply fun and give his music some breathing room while anticipation builds for his next move.

“Time is of the essence when you drop [beats] but when people are excited about them and keep asking for more, it feels like satisfaction for me as an artist,” DRA said. “Even though these last two songs live in the same realm of sound, people are going to discover variety when they hear my music. You want them to hear the difference – not just listening to it once then moving on – but taking the time to dive into the sounds we’ve created.”

But “No Rental” doesn’t just chase a good time – it tests a theory that DRA isn’t going to just replicate what’s already in the music industry. He’s been crafting music since he was 12 years old, fearless in the face of change and up to the challenge of giving his fans something personal and impactful.

“I put out a positive message because I grew up watching superhero movies and shows – that mentality is what’s created over time,” he said. “You want to be that superhero and affect people on a global scale. In order to have that impact, music is my way of reaching people and how to make change. It’s to relate to people like me, who have been through things I’ve been through. You’re gonna understand the message and what I want to express, and that’s important to me. Everybody has an outlet, and the way I exfoliate is my music … It ain’t fun to copy-paste everything – you gotta push the envelope, push the boundaries – there are no boundaries.”

Young DRA is on track to release his first album this fall titled “Da Muscle,” and in it, fans will be better introduced to the artist, learn of his past tribulations and current heart for the world.
