Keema Miss Lady—aka Shekeema Friend—is a versatile rapper, singer, and multi-faceted artist primed for success with her new hit, “Bad Bitch Goals” (“BBG”).

From the very beginning, BBG immediately launches listeners into the smooth, flowing verses of Keema Miss Lady, set to a simple background beat that allows her strong vocals to shine. Between sharp verses and a catchy chorus, the single brings energy to any room that plays it.

“I have this group of friends that still to this day gets together and does things. We embrace the sisterhood we have. This song is about having a group of girls you can ride or die with. Wake up in a jail cell together laughing like ‘yeah that was crazy,’” elaborates Keema Miss Lady on the inspiration behind her single.

When it came to writing the song, Keema Miss Lady already had a vision for what she wanted to say. Inspired by a beat by YesoloBeatz, the artist brought her musical vision to life in just two takes in the studio. Having dedicated the majority of her life to music, it’s no wonder Keema Miss Lady can create a hit so naturally.

Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, and raised in Virginia, Keema Miss Lady established her musical roots at an early age. She began performing at her school and church, honing her performance skills until age 16, when she relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, and began her musical career.

Inspired by legends including India Arie, Lauryn Hill, and Eryka Badu, Keema Miss Lady takes pride in being a versatile artist in this generation. Keema Miss Lady is an artist uniquely and unapologetically herself. She’s not set on any one genre or way of telling a story through song. “Sometimes my music can be soulful, sometimes it’s soft rock, sometimes trap. I’m very versatile so I don’t have a set sound—I just do what I feel in the moment,” shares the artist. “If anything, I’m a soft-rock-trap kind of girl.”

Music has been a gateway and a path for her life journey. Keema Miss Lady is proud of her growth, going from a shy recording artist in the studio to standing in front of crowds and performing passionately. “This journey has been about becoming an adult woman and human and recognizing mistakes are not always failures but lessons. For me, it’s the goddess in the making. What’s becoming of me.”

Next year, listeners can expect new and exciting sounds coming from Keema Miss Lady. “I have a lot in store for you guys. A little love music, gangsta music, and something I’d like to call, ‘It’s Giving Catty’ Just something to poke some fun,” shares the artist.

“I appreciate you guys for taking an interest in my work. We people of royalty have to stick together. So I want y’all to buckle up because I definitely have some head boppers coming your way. Love and Blessings.”
