LANCASTER, Calif. – On January 23, 2023, KamBeezy The Rascal has released the Solo Season EP, a collection of the first five singles from his debut studio album Solo Season.

The Solo Season EP is currently available on all streaming platforms, previewing the Solo Season LP which is available for purchase on www.KamBeezyTheRascal.com. Following the release of the EP, KamBeezy will be releasing two singles every month from the album leading up to the full release of the Solo Season LP on streaming platforms in June 2023.

Even though he is just 13 years old, KamBeezy the Rascal is already a deeply committed hip-hop artist. He spends whatever time is left over from school and music advocating for causes such as anti-bullying and teenage mental health, looking to make the world a better place.

As part of his dad’s nonprofit, KamBeezy uses his music to relate to the other kids around him. He regularly tours Antelope Valley and Greater Los Angeles encouraging youth to express themselves and avoid bottling up their feelings. Their nonprofit, Young N Flyy Talent Development, looks to shape the lives of youth experiencing adversity and depression in Southern California. They offer students seminars, therapy, and resources to overcome any adversities that these students might be facing.

Through all this work, KamBeezy’s music and advocacy regularly thrusts him into the limelight. He is already a recognized star in the Antelope Valley, known by local and state congressmen for his deep commitment to youth empowerment.

But beyond his nonprofit work, KamBeezy is also blossoming into a star artist and performer. His singles “Ridiculous”, “Hoodies and Hauraches”, and “Stop Playing” made appearances on Southern California radio, granting the family talks with those at Nike. He also headlined a major stage of Los Angeles’ Taste of Soul Festival, regularly performs for the city’s annual Juneteenth events, and has had a star audition at America’s Got Talent 2020.

KamBeezy recently won a talent competition as well, beating 40 adult artists by storm despite being underestimated as a teenager. He is also a talented model and actor, doing runway fashion for a variety of clothing brands, and taking roles for commercials and films.

KamBeezy developed as a recording artist closely inspired by his dad, the artist and producer MobTheBarber, who owns a recording studio in Lancaster, California. Since the age of 3, KamBeezy has been involved in music, coming to make beats and eventually full songs by the age of 8. Since then, KamBeezy and his sisters have become skilled recording artists and performers, becoming the stars of Young N Flyy’s school tours.

MobTheBarber says, “KamBeezy has a natural talent. He was always around the studio working on music. It just got to a point where I was all like, instead of just rapping my stuff, let’s see what you guys got. He just started freestyling at it was all natural.”

“He’s deeply lyrical as well. He’s been through a lot, which is what the nonprofit is all about. He saw abuse, broken home, saw relationships go bad. But he wants things to be better. I love that about him.”

Both KamBeezy and his sisters are affiliated with Acoustic Youth Empowerment Connecting the Masses (AyeCM Rascals), a hip hop label for underaged recording artists.

Following all this development, KamBeezy has been hard at work throughout 2022 on his debut album Solo Season. Solo Season marks the debut of KamBeezy The Rascal as an independent artist apart from his label mates on AyeCM Rascals.

MobTheBarber says, “Watching him and observing him, it was so exhilarating. Solo Season is so much deeper than you can imagine. Compared to before when he was doing all his performances, and 95% of the songs were collaborations, this is the first time that KamBeezy has had a chance to develop and to express himself. Now, 90% of the album was written by him. It’s his coming out as a solo artist: Him standing on his own, regardless of this age; him showing the world his talent.”

KamBeezy says, “The album pushes me to my limits. I’ve been working nonstop on the album every day. It’s lots of work, lots of memories we sifted through in the garage. Lots of retelling, rewording, rearranging stories for the album. The sessions can be long, sometimes eight hours, but I’m excited for the album. It’s my outlet, my tool for expression.”

The single “Hold Me Down” responds to those that fail to see others fully. “It’s about seeing things for what they are. It’s about those who use my age to try to hold me back. Those that start to not show up, those that give excuses for why they don’t support you,” says KamBeezy. “But it’s also about overcoming that and showing people what you can do. Pushing yourself as far as you can go.”

The single “Thump In Da Trunk” is a single about having a good time. “It’s a big party vibe from the Bay Area to the Westside. It’s a song you can ride to in the car, in the house. It’s really about turning it up and having a good vibe. It was such an exciting song to make.” “It’s addicting too. When I got back from school today, everyone there was singing the chorus from Thump In Da Trunk.”

MobTheBarber says, “It’s our first collab between father and son on a track. We had one of our guys on the team – YB, who is an excellent performer onstage – help us out. He got my son on such a level. The songs perform for themselves. The whole album is a party vibe.”

The Solo Season album showcases KamBeezy blossom into an artist in his own right, motivated by his cause of helping others blossom. KamBeezy looks forward to making people happy and helping others overcome struggle. He says, “My goal to get this all right. I want to go very far, because I want to help those my circle. But not only them, I also want to help people in the community.”

Upcoming in early February, KamBeezy the Rascal will be releasing the music video for “Thump In Da Trunk” which can be found on his YouTube AyeCM Rascals. The music video coincides with the launch of the website www.KamBeezyTheRascal.com, which will have YNF shirts, hoodies, and sweaters to fundraise the nonprofit.

Upcoming on May 21, following a school tour in Antelope Valley and Los Angeles, KamBeezy will be headlining the YNF Award Show. Lastly, throughout the year, KamBeezy will be releasing three singles per month leading up to the full release of Solo Season. These three-single drops will feature two singles from the album and one standalone single per month.
