ATLANTA – On August 18, 2023, Lighta6000 will be releasing his first EP Sorry But I Had To. In preparation for the EP, Lighta6000 will be releasing the music video for his 2019 track “Been There Done That” to his YouTube. A snippet of the video is already out online.

Lighta6000 is a rising artist in Atlanta’s hip-hop scene, affiliated with the legendary Street Execs Studio, and widely influenced by Southern hip-hop and genres such as trap, techno, EDM, and gospel. He describes himself as a jack of all trades in music, a unique voice that stands out in Atlanta’s musical crowd.

Lighta6000 grew up in Chicago, eventually moving to Atlanta, and meeting the many who circulate Atlanta’s hip-hop underground. He says, “I was serving up the major studios, especially a studio in Atlanta called Street Execs Studios – a studio founded by 2 Chainz. I was coming there, serving up good rappers who were blowing up. After seeing it all, I decided I wanted to try it.”

After a short hiatus in 2022, Lighta6000 says that 2023 is a year of deep inspiration. “I’m so inspired right now. Inspired by beats and producing, and the others that come from the same realm as me. I love seeing people get to where they’re at.”

The single “Been There Done That” is a single emblematic of the energy found in Altanta’s trap music scene. It is a powerhouse single recorded in Street Execs Studios, produced by King Ceeo, the producer for many of 2 Chainz’ songs.

Looking at how this single jumpstarted his career, Lighta6000 says, “I went to the studio, and everyone wanted me to try rapping. I was interrupted and disrespected by a few rap people, but this all made me want to rap more. From there, I created Been There Done That and all of the rest of my songs came from there.”

The re-release of the single “Been There Done That” promotes Lighta6000’s new Instagram and YouTube channel. His YouTube currently has a snippet of the upcoming music video for “Been There Done That”, showcasing the energy Lighta6000 can bring to a crowd.

On August 18, Lighta6000 will be releasing his debut EP Sorry But I Had To. It is a 7-track EP that brings together the flows of 2 Chainz, Eminem, and Ludacris with the metaphors of Lil Wayne. He says, “It’ll be everything that the industry needs. It’s for everyone who loves parties and having fun. It’ll redefine the industry because I got my own bars and lyrics and metaphors that me make sound like nobody else.”

Looking forward, Lighta6000 says that he is excited for the EP to open up the door for more and more projects. He says, “I would love for this to blow up because I wanna go single after single and mixtape after mixtape from that point.”

Lastly, Lighta6000 says, “Shoutout to Bankroll Fresh, that’s my brother, that’s my family. He died, and he’s from Atlanta. Street Execs Studios. He got a single out called ‘Hot Boy’ off Life of a Hot Boy. Shoutout to Bankroll Fresh. Shoutout to God. To 6kDaLabel.”

“I would love for people to follow my new Instagram. Go stream ‘Been There Done That’ on all streaming platforms, the snippet is available on my YouTube channel.”
