Last month, Talib Kweli and Madlib announced Liberation 2, a sequel to their collaborative 2007 album, and had revealed that it will feature a posthumous contribution by Mac Miller.

Today, the duo has surprised fans by dropping the new album which features 15 songs in total. Apart from Mac Miller, the album also has contributions from Q-Tip, Westside Gunn, Roc Marciano and more, in addition to African artists Cassper Nyovest and Seun Kuti. See the tracklist below.

“The materialism and debauchery that is stereotypically associated with hip-hop has lost some of its luster,” the rapper said. “Madlib and I have been consistent in our messaging. Never has there been a better time for such honest, message-driven music that pays tribute to the sounds that came before us.”

Like the latest Black Star album No Fear of Time from Twlib Kweli and Mos Def, this one is also exclusive to the Luminary podcast network. There is no word if if will arrive on DSPs for wide release. Watch the video for the song ‘These Messages’ featuring Amani above.
