News : DIDDY ACCUSED OF STEALING 'ACT BAD' SINGLE FROM NYC RAPPER

Diddy has been accused of stealing his latest single “Act Bad” from an up-and-coming New York rapper.

The Bad Boy Records co-founder dropped off his new single — which features appearances from City Girls and Fabolous — last week, declaring the track to be the “song of the summer” on Instagram.

“We all teamed up together to drop the song of the summer,” Diddy wrote. “It’s gonna be an Act Bad summer.”

However, a young rapper out of Queens named Swinderella has now alleged that the rap mogul “jacked” her song, and shared a clip of her 2020 track with The Neighborhood Talk to note the two singles’ similarities.

“The industry will really send people to bite your whole entire swagg!” an affiliate of Swinderella’s wrote in a since-deleted post on Instagram screenshotted by TNHT. “You never know who watching you, they not creative enough, they’re not organic enough!”

The affiliate went on to say that Swinderella had allegedly worked closely with Fivio Foreign and Nicki Minaj on the latter’s single “We Go Up.”

“They keep telling me I need a hit whole time I got em and the billionaires stealing my whole shit,” Swinderella added on her Instagram Stories.

No legal action seems to have been taken at this time, but this isn’t the first time Diddy has been accused of thievery. In 2020, Aubrey O’ Day of Danity Kane took to Instagram to criticize Puff’s mismanagement of her and other artists while signed to Bad Boy, and said the mogul regularly siphoned funds away from his signees into his own pocket.

“Diddy has mismanaged artists & stolen their money his whole career (including Danity Kane), and now he is showing up with 18 days left before the election to get Trump out of office,” she wrote, commenting on Diddy’s shortlived political idea of forming the Our Black Party. “When I was on Apprentice, Trump used to tell me DAILY how him and puff are good friends.”

In July of that year, O’Day also told Variety that she was actually scared of the rapper/record executive due to her harrowing Making The Band experience.

“Puff is a very difficult person to work with,”she said. “Everything had to be perfect. I remember times where he looked at my toenails and was like, ‘What is your third toenail doing? Go get that sh– fixed before you walk into a room.’ Or we would be in rehearsals performing an hour-and-a-half set over and over and he would walk in for five minutes with a camera and say, ‘Aubrey, why are you sweating? You look like a wet dog. You’re the hot one, so do you think anyone wants to see that?’”

In other Diddy news, Yung Miami recently had to check Love & Hip Hop alum Raqi Thunda for speaking on her enigmatic relationship with Diddy.

Despite the City Girls rapper declaring herself single last month, the “Act Bad” collab and their recent joint appearance at the Met Gala together shows that maybe that’s not entirely true.
