If you don’t know MOXXY from their brilliantly eclectic style, killer dance moves, or top notch performances, then now is the time to check them out. You can start by listening to their smash hit single, “Extra.” This trio of talented female creatives, Lina, Bri and CJ, work hard to promote love and individuality in everything they do and their most recent track does exactly that.
A song all about standing tall while the world is coming at you, “Extra” is fierce and fiery. It utilizes MOXXY’s special blend of Pop, R&B, spoken word, and girl power to serve as the perfect way to deliver a passionate and hard hitting message.
“I am so excited for people to hear this song,” said Bri, one member of MOXXY. “It feels like a summer anthem to me. The kind of ‘I’m that bitch’ song that you can really just let loose and twerk to.”
This single truly has an explosive and empowering feel to it. Whether you are looking for a pick me up or just getting ready for the party, this is going to be a song for you. “‘Extra’ is the kind of song you are going to want to scream in the shower”, said Lina, MOXXY’s founder.
Like all of their tracks, “Extra” has one overlying theme that the band hopes everyone can take with them after listening. “We want everyone to be able to tell their own story,” the trio explained. Their music and performances meld such a variety of styles with a collection of performative art forms. While MOXXY is telling their collective story through brilliant onstage performances, they hope to encourage their listeners to do the same in everyday life.
“Extra” is already making waves with its vibrant energy and ‘take on the world’ kind of attitude. It is currently on its way up the charts on the Upcoming 100’s Emerging 300 artist list. Fans and supporters of the band can go vote on the song at upcoming100.com, or can find the link on the @wearemoxxy Instagram page.
