With a slick message and slicker visuals, the Southern California Artist Zay Jay is celebrating the first anniversary of the release of his album “Bachelor Life” by releasing music videos of many of those tracks.

‘Greedy’ is the first track to have its video released in June and more are coming in the next few weeks, Zay Jay said.

“This video shows that I don’t need to talk about it, I can be about it too. Im showing whoever watches my videos that I am the one, Not the two,” Zay Jay said. “There are going to be parts in the video where I am doing rich man things but as I quote one of the lyrics ‘I don’t need money to rap.’ This who I am, a smooth guy with dope raps just trying to have fun 

“The Bachelor Life Album did pretty good for myself, someone who’s a one-man band. I was really proud of what it did in one year for me. So I'm putting out this music video hoping to bring more awareness to the project, allowing to put it back in the listeners rotation.”

“Greedy” gives everyone permission to be themselves and let the world know that im putting my energy back into me. This song is all about knowing your self-worth and not allowing others to diminish that.

Zay Jay said the track was a chance to “gas himself up” after a time when he had a few hard and  broken relationships and friendships.

He said his previous album, “Boss Up” was more motivational in nature while “Greedy” and the album  “Bachelor Life” as a whole is a celebration of himself.

Zay Jay is a musician representing the Inland Empire in Southern California. Born in Riverside and raised in Corona, his passion for music and performing started at the age of five.

Zay Jay was involved in numerous talent shows for local organizations and parties for family and friends. When it came to making his own style of music, his biggest inspirations were Kanye West, Big Sean, and Trey Songz in which he developed his writing style and strengthened his passion for music. Their creativity is what inspired Zay Jay to produce rap and R&B music.

Throughout his career Zay Jay created songs focusing on love, making money, mental health and grinding for what you want in life.

He said his hope is to inspire his fans to have fun, to let go of the past in order to build the future, and be patient with themselves on achieving their dreams because their time is coming. He puts his heart into every project he produces with these key points in mind because each song is not only his truth but can also be a way of life.

“Bachelor Life” is a project that’s really talking more about confidence,” Zay Jay said. “It’s more getting out into the single world and having confidence in yourself. You don’t need to be out here looking timid. Let your light shine. It’s all about having fun and being the best version of yourself. Boss Up” was a slower album and it was about motivation and trying to get my mental health back from breakups, from broken friendships, from just life in general. “Bachelor Life was 100 percent me, I wasn’t trying to be like nobody. I was just trying to be myself and speak my truth on who I am as a person.”
