The music video for Eternal Zion’s single “Distractions” features everything from guns and gambling to video games and heavy drinking.

But she’s not glorifying anything. Instead, the track offers a simple warning: don’t get distracted by sex, depression, nicotine or anything else.

“You are the complete representation of yourself,” an angelic being communicates in the video. “Only you can calm the storm within your thoughts … no outside source can free you from the bonds of society. Your higher self is waiting for you to listen.”

“It’s about not getting distracted from any of the things we actually need to do,” Eternal Zion says. “Let’s say you have some goals in mind and there are basic distractions like video games, especially with teenagers just distracting themselves. I was thinking about it in a spiritual sense – we all should overcome this feeling of procrastination and actually just go out and do the things we set our mind to.”

The multifaceted artist, who’s been making music for nearly a decade, has carved out her own niche in the music scene with a unique fusion of sound that encompasses both alternative rock and alternative hip hop.

“I started off making political music,” she says, “and then I went from that to making more spiritually sound music and talking more about raising your vibrations, raising your frequencies and overall becoming a better person.”

The shift in her music reflects Eternal Zion’s intention to uplift humanity with her art, to help people overcome trauma and hardship.

“I want to make really nice, spiritually-uplifting music that this industry doesn’t see as much,” she says.

She also dives into the conspiracy realm with singles like “Not From Earf,” which includes a reference to former president Dwight Eisenhower signing a treaty with “the Greys” and will soon feature an outer-space-themed music video.

“Aliens are running all affairs,” she vocalizes on the track. “The earth is just a playground so beware. Conspiracies are running through the air and if you don’t believe me I don’t care.”

Eternal Zion has been releasing music at a prolific pace with six albums in the last three years including her latest project, True Colors, which features 10 tracks. She calls it a spiritual album and it’s quite a bit different in tone from songs like “Distractions” and “Not From Earf” with an uplifting rock/pop vibe.

“I want to be revolutionary,” she says. “I want to have a revolutionary stance in the music industry and I also want to pave a way for more spiritual musicians to have a platform in the industry.”

Eternal Zion is working with manager Jeff Blue, who discovered artists such as Linkin Park and Macy Gray and also worked with groups such as Korn and Limp Bizkit. She will release two more music videos in the next few months and is also starting a band called Lunar Lace that will be separate from her solo career.

Make sure to stay connected to Eternal Zion on all platforms for new music, videos and social posts.
