Emerging rap artist, Juda Lion777, turns to motivational messages in his recent single, “Poetic Justice.” Calling for hope and awareness, the rapper sets poetry to music to inspire listeners to heal together.
“Poetic Justice” is about coming together and letting all voices matter. “I consider myself a messenger of light and love,” shares Juda Lion777. “I want to bring awareness of the collective voice and address systemic issues around the world. We need to collectively heal as one body. You can’t expect one part of the body to heal while the other is diseased.”
“I also want to shed light on corruption,” continues the rapper. “I want to voice what’s currently going on. I’m here to demand change. We must all do our part in uplifting and respecting each other.”
“There are people that just sit back and watch and bicker and complain. They don’t take action and they voice their views negatively. They never follow through. That’s the main problem. They don’t voice their opinion to be heard—just to complain.”
Juda Lion777 hopes to change that. Weaving words into stories, he demonstrates his storytelling talents. To create the song, Juda Lion777 licensed a beat that spoke to him. “When the engineer played it the first time, I came up with those lyrics right away—within 15 minutes. I got in the booth and laid it down the first time and that was it. It came out divine—there was no second take.”
Facing the complexities of inner-city life as a child in Washington D.C. and Maryland, Juda Lion777 found solace in music and used it as a means to transcend his challenging circumstances. From drugs to adversity, the many challenges he faced now shape his authentic tales. Juda Lion777 turns to stories to not only be heard but to connect to his listeners—from struggles to ultimate redemption.
Juda Lion777 takes pride in his music as a beacon of hope for others facing similar (and different) obstacles as he once did. He encourages listeners to “rise above their circumstances” and take a look at the “possibilities that await with perseverance and unwavering determination.”
“My son got me inspired. He has autism, so he felt defeated. I wanted to show him that we can do anything if we put our mind to it,” shares Juda Lion777 of the motivation behind his success. It was then that he decided to go on Rap Fame—an app for rappers and hip-hop fans—to share his music and thoughts. Immediately, he saw more than two thousand hits and decided to continue. “I thought—if it’s not broke, don’t fix it. That was about 4 months ago. Since then, I’ve put out tons of new tracks.”
Music wasn’t always Juda Lion777’s end game. In fact, the now-rapper was then the owner of a security company. “I’ve been in the field of protecting my whole life. Then people said I had talent and should go further. So, I thought, ‘okay, I’ll give it a try.’ Now I have 70,000 views on Rap Fame and 150,000 streams for ‘Poetic Justice.’”
Following “Poetic Justice,” Juda Lion777 plans to release “Altered Dreams,” which features an in-house produced beat. “The vision for ‘Altered Dream” is indoctrination. We grow up as little kids to be conditioned, but when you start growing up you realize things aren’t always what you thought they were. It’s about finding a way through this reality,” explains the rapper.
Loyal to his craft, Juda Lion777 anticipates a steady stream of new music moving forward. He’s looking to leave his mark on the rap industry through talent and determination—and a whole lot of hope. “Love, light, be free,” shares Juda Lion777. “Respect life and love it.”
