Singer and visionary, John Houston delivers a divine new single, the ultimate “gratefulness anthem” by the name of “More Than Enough.”

“The premise of the song is saying that I feel like right now everyone is comparing and complaining,” shares the artist. “I feel like we lose sight of how grateful we should be and how blessed we truly are when we start complaining and comparing. It’s in the first line of the song—‘We can waste time thinking about what we don’t have…’ When we should be content with what God has already given us.”

According to John Houston being grateful for what we have could solve many of our problems. “You might not have a Bentley, but you have a car that gets you from point A to point B. If we start looking at our lives that way, we would have less suicide, less depression. I know people who don’t have everything but they’re supremely happy in themselves and God.”

Through his music, John Houston wants to remind listeners “we have everything we need in God and through him. When we start trying to replace what he’s meant to be for us—the foundational rock we live our lives on…When we use money to fill the void God was meant to fill… You’ll come up short. If all you’ve got is money, you’re still broke.”

“More Than Enough” came to life seamlessly after John Houston heard the instrumentals from his producer. “We turned it on a loop, and I just started writing. Everything I do is on the spot, always.”

When he says music is in his blood, he very much means it. In fact, John Houston comes from a bloodline of pastors and musicians. An early introduction to church music enabled a young John to see the power music has in bringing people together under one roof. He would later go on to work alongside Gospel greats including Stellar award winner Pastor Mike Jr. and Grammy award winner Eric Dawkins. Another of his accomplishments is launching the record label, Visionary Music Group, on which he is a featured artist. His first project, “John 3:16,” based on his life experiences and journey, was a product of his label.

John Houston isn’t just a Gospel artist—he is the culmination of the people, experiences, and music that has inspired him. His music is best described as “Gospel with an R&B feel.” “I’m just a different kind of artist. It’s Gospel, but there’s nobody like me. I’m different than everyone you’ve seen and heard. Because of how I look, it doesn’t click in people’s minds. They don’t know what to make of me. But I like that. It’s time for new blood in the industry—a fresh perspective.”

In addition to his current single, John Houston is in the process of releasing a live EP. Make sure to stay connected to John Houston on all platforms for new music, videos, and social posts.
