His most recent song titled “Moneyman” is now out for listeners to get down to, and Blurrine$$ feels this is some of his best work yet.

The inspiration of the song “Moneyman” is how he has come a long way from the antics of his teenage years, and is now out there focusing on himself and his growth as a person. The name says it all: “it’s all about making money and coming up to build a better life.”

“That’s the message I’m trying to relay,” he said. “I’m doing better now. I’m focusing on my money. I’m working on me. I’m trying to not be the same person I once was.”

The 20-year-old rapper’s start to his music career was simple: he wanted to make a change and keep himself busy in a positive way. Every day he got a little bit more skilled at his work, whether it was learning how to rhyme better or improving his flow. He generally makes at least one or two songs per day, as he is constantly inspired to build his catalogue.

Blurrine$$ has a crew he hangs out with who not only motivates him to make music, but has given him feedback to improve his confidence when building a track. He has collaborated with a couple of them, and they are able to bounce back ideas and create parts of songs together.

He tends to write his lyrics to beats that he will find, and then go through a polishing process that can take some trial and error.

“I will sit there for a song for about 45 minutes,” Blurrine$$ said. “I’ll listen to a beat over and over again. I’m a perfectionist, so I’ll listen to a beat like 30 times before I decide if I use it. Then I’ll write a bit to it, write like a sentence, and start the beat, and then try to sing the flow in my head. I’ll go sentence by sentence and just power through it.”

While Blurrine$$’s drive is to be his best self, he wants his listeners to know that he is out there doing this for them.

“As much as I do this for me, hearing their feedback is one of the best part of my day,” Blurrine$$ said. “‘Moneyman’ means a lot to me. It’s like having a baby, watching it go out there and grow.”

Blurrine$$ said of all his music, “Moneyman” has received the best feedback, as it has about 27,000 listens and 600 likes on Soundcloud. He added that it’s amazing to get this type of positive reaction, especially being new to the game. Blurrine$$ has taken the advice from his friends and those who have listened to his work to keep on pushing and creating material. Plus, he said the fact that it attracts girls his way certainly does’t hurt.

Blurrine$$ grew up about an hour from Tucson, and then he bounced around the state of Arizona and into California for a brief time, where he was able to learn a little bit about everything along the way. He spends most of his time raising his four-year-old son named Elias, working the daily grind and putting countless hours in at the studio making tracks.

Blurrine$$ made his first song on December 5 of last year, and said it was like an explosion of creativity, as he has pumped out about 60 tracks since.

“I’m not going to lie, I was real heartbroken at first,” he explained. “I just used all that for energy. It’s basically how I keep my flow.”

He added, “ On December 5th I decided to make a change and put the time and effort to learn. I wanted to prove everyone wrong. I wanted to prove to everyone that I’m not that person they think I am.”

Blurrine$$ wants the world to listen to his music, share with people they know, and enjoy it as much as he does making it.

“I would love to get as much publicity as I can, good or bad,” Blurrine$$ said. “I take bad feedback just as well as good feedback, because I feel like constructive criticism is great. I would like to just say I did it. I took the risk.”
