Singer-songwriter and musician teneva unveils his debut single, “daze,” the first track from his highly anticipated album, move. an audio anthology. This release marks a pivotal moment in teneva’s career, representing his first official body of work. Seamlessly blending electric pop, alternative, and a bit of hip-hop, “daze” captivates listeners with its infectious rhythms and catchy melodies, compelling them to dance. Beneath its dance-pop veneer, the song is rich with symbolism. It’s a love song in a dance-pop format.

“This song is about the feeling I have when I think about my wife,” shared teneva. “The line – ‘I really like the daze you put me through’ – speaks to how I feel when I’m with her. It’s like I’m in a daze when I'm with her, and the rest of the world melts away.”

This poignant track offers a glimpse into teneva’s emotional landscape, tackling themes of love, relationships, and self-discovery. Co-produced and mastered with Alex Snape (aka SEVV) at JD SOUND recording studio in Nashville, TN, "daze" showcases teneva's raw talent and unwavering dedication to his craft. The album will also feature collaborations with other Nashville artists, adding to its rich and diverse musical tapestry.

Describing his musical style as pop with a twist, teneva mixes elements from various genres to create a sound uniquely his own. With a heavy emphasis on lyricism and symbolism, his songs resonate with authenticity and depth, reflecting personal experiences and introspection.

“I have always been a person who’s into pop music, but I do incorporate a lot of different genres into my music,” shared teneva. “I would say I have an electronic pop alternative sound with elements from blues and funk, as well as post-hardcore screamo, hip hop, and electric dance.”

As of last week, “daze” made it to the Emerging 300 Artist Chart on Upcoming100.com, cementing teneva's rising presence in the music industry. Following its March 29th release, teneva plans to release another track on June 1st, leading up to his 10-song album set to drop on August 3rd. To promote the album, teneva and his wife have launched their own record label, Teneva Music LLC, marking an exciting new chapter in his musical journey and career.

“By the time I drop my album, it may seem like I’ve popped up out of nowhere, but this album is the culmination of years of work on myself and my music,” stated teneva.

Growing up, teneva struggled with depression, often seeking solace in music while simultaneously safeguarding his compositions and full musical talents from the world. His mental health challenges hit a boiling point with a severe medical emergency—Takotsubo cardiomyopathy, a condition triggered by extreme stress. This harrowing experience became a pivotal moment in his career.

Encouraged by his wife, teneva sought therapy, and through that work, teneva realized he had lost his vital connection to music, his primary creative outlet. Following his therapist’s advice, he picked up his guitar again, gradually rediscovering his passion and eventually beginning to write music once more. This journey of self-discovery and healing has deeply influenced his debut album, imbuing it with vulnerability and resilience.

“My goal with my music is to help destroy that stigma of feeling like asking for help with your mental health is anything but normal,” stated teneva. “Because you may not know it’s there until it’s too big to handle.”

As the August release date approaches, teneva is preparing to celebrate with an album release party, offering fans an exclusive preview of his new work. Plus, there's the chance of a surprise single dropping before the album hits. Stay connected on teneva's social platforms for the latest updates and announcements, and don't forget to listen to “daze,” now available on all major music streaming platforms.
