Reggae was the sound of singer-songwriter Royal Deb’s life growing up in the Parish of St. Ann in Jamaica.
Now she’s making it her passion, her fun and her joy with all her music, including her newest party single “All My Ladies.”
“This song is about having fun,” Royal Deb said. “You need to watch the video. I wanted people to hear that song. It was directed by world renowned producer Andre Betts.”
When you watch the video on Youtube or other platforms, be ready for an explosion of colors and a beat that will set your feet to dancing. If you feel good move your waist tonight.
“With ‘All My Ladies’ we were thinking about dance hall music,” she said. “You know as the song says, ‘All my ladies in the place tonight, All my fellas in the place tonight.’ The words just came together.”
Royal Deb said she grew up to Reggae music day in and day out.
“Reggae music was the heartbeat of my community,” she said. “Legends like Bob Marley and Gregory Isaacs were my idols. Reggae didn’t just fill our dance halls; it poured into the streets, creating impromptu dance parties that lasted all night. Those vibrant experiences fueled my dream of performing on a large stage in America. In the 1980s, I moved to America, got married, and raised four wonderful children with my husband Larry Barr who is my number one fan. Now, my dream of becoming a Reggae artist has come true.”
Royal Deb said this would not have happened without the Almighty Creator — The Most High!
In addition to being a singer and songwriter, Royal Deb is also a martial artist. Living in New Jersey now, Deb said she’s performing at all the venues she can in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and other places.
Royal Deb said ‘“All My Ladies,” is becoming a hit on the party scene in the Tri-State area around New York City, and she wants to see it played nationwide. It is a great song.
