HOUSTON - After dabbling in R&B, hip hop, and jazz and getting knocked down like a prizefighter, Adonis Kashe’ decided to take matters into his own hands and just be himself - which is how Spunxk-N-Roll was born.

“R&B cheated on me. Hip hop tried to beat me up, and jazz tricked my heart. So, I just went with my own funky road to Spunxk-N-Roll,” explained Adonis Kashe’.

Taking its funky sound from the signature Roland TR-808 drum machine, Spunxk-N-Roll digs deep with its unforgettable punchy, deep pitches. When asked to describe his music, Kashe’ said, “With a brand new 808 drag that’ll make a newborn baby boy nutz’ sag, that spunxky ass kick that’ll make everybody’s hip bones tick!”

Coupled with lyrics that revolve around sex, drugs, and rock, Spunxk-N-Roll comes at listeners hard and makes them beg for more. “Come as you are,” said Kashe’. “When you hear my records, I’m just having fun and going with the kick.”

With lyrics revolving around life and women, Kashe’ admits everyone has a vice, and he writes about this using his funky cadence. “I know my own strength, and it takes me to higher heights,” he said. “The funk is on the one. The Spunxk hits on the three of a ¾ Treble Clef.”

Born in Philadelphia and raised in southwest Houston, Kashe’ is a spunxky ass sex machine, innovator, songwriter, actor, and entertainer. With his unique ability to attract others, he is the first to wear steampunk goggles while performing. Making the steampunk goggles part of his repertoire, Kashe’ said, “I see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil.”

Kashe’s addictive personality is getting noticed by fans as this latest single, “Go Head Try It,” is approaching half a million streams on Spotify in less than a month since its release. The song focuses on a dysfunctional relationship between Kashe’ and his lover, who plays mind games. She feels like she can run the world and could have anything, but Kashe’ knows she’s just feeding him a line. Kashe’ lets the charade continue as he plays hard to get with his lover’s lies.

With the single trending hot on all streaming platforms, anticipation is building for the “Go Head Try It” music video that premieres on Dec. 11. In true Kashe’ style and wearing his steampunk goggles, he plans to rock viewers’ world with the video that contains “a lot of nakedness, women, fun, money, and party things like whipped cream,” he promised.

Staying focused on the funk and the 808 drag, Kashe’ never uses samples in creating Spunxk-N-Roll. “We don’t sample nuthin’ over here. It’s all original music,” he said. “I’m cut from a different breed. I’m not like others. What sets me apart is my sound and my 808 drag. The way I bite the mic is not like anybody.”

Make sure to stay connected to Adonis Kashe’ on all platforms for new music, videos, and social posts.
