Usher has gone viral for his less-than-impressed response to a fan suggestively eating a cherry during one of his live shows.
The singer is currently underway with his huge ‘Past Present Future’ tour, which is currently making its way across the US, before heading across the pond in 2025.
At one of the recent stops, fan-captured footage showed Usher looking somewhat perturbed as a fan began seductively eating a cherry in front of him while he walked through the crowd. The moment came mid-way through the set, as a woman in the audience locked eyes with the singer and began lathering a cherry in spit.
For the majority of the clip, all can be seen of Usher is the back of his head as he stands frozen in place. Towards the end, however, the camera turns around and shows him looking disturbed by what he just witnessed.
The video soon went viral across social media. Check it out below.
The cherry shenanigans have become an increasingly popular occurrence at Usher’s shows in recent weeks, and often take place as he walks through the audience with a bowl of cherries, handing them out to members of the crowd.
At a separate show, it was the singer’s security guard who went viral for his reaction to the new trend. In a clip circulating across social media, a fan zoomed in on the bodyguard’s face as another crowd member seemingly performed with a cherry for the musician.
In the footage, the guard’s expressions are unforgettable, as he frowns and looks away in disgust, before glancing over occasionally to see if the ordeal was finished.
The current tour comes after Usher took his career to new heights earlier this year, delivering a mammoth performance at the historic Super Bowl Halftime Show. Taking place in February, he took to the stage at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas during the final of the 58th Super Bowl.
The North American leg of his tour is set to wrap up this month, and will then pick up again next spring, when he ventures across the pond for the UK and European dates. Visit here for tickets.
These include a huge 10 nights at The O2 in London and wrap up in May with a closing show at the Uber Arena in Berlin, Germany. Due to the timing of these shows, he has been added to the list of artists who are rumoured for Glastonbury 2025.
Others rumoured to be making an appearance at the site – in its last year before it takes a year out to help restore the farmland – include Taylor Swift, Green Day, Olivia Rodrigo and more.
As for other Usher news, the singer shared the official trailer for his new concert film, Rendezvous In Paris, over the summer, ahead of its release in September. He also dropped his latest album ‘Coming Home’, which featured collaborations with Summer Walker, 21 Savage, H.E.R., BTS’s Jungkook, Burna Boy, Latto and more.
