FreshMusicWorld: How do you see your art evolving over the next five years? Are there any new directions you’d like to explore?

Jimmy Mallia: I started just putting my songs out there to see how they would be received. My ultimate question dream is to get a record deal and perform on tour. I think there is a space for my style of writing and singing.

FreshMusicWorld: Can you describe your ideal audience or the people you hope will connect with your art?

Jimmy Mallia: I hope people relate to my music in a deep and meaningful way. I hope that it touches them. My ideal audience is people looking for relatable touching lyrics.

FreshMusicWorld: How do you approach the concept of storytelling within your art, and is it important to you?

Jimmy Mallia: My style is storytelling. Mostly about my own life experiences. It is real. Most of my songs start with a thought and develop from there.

FreshMusicWorld: How does your personal life, culture, or environment influence your art?

Jimmy Mallia: My personal life, or perception is what my songs are about. I think a lot of people can relate to it.

FreshMusicWorld: What advice would you give to fellow artists just starting their careers?

Jimmy Mallia: Be true to yourself  And do it for yourself. If it is your sing don’t let outside influences make you change your style  Even if it is not successful, it is yours. The research. Learn the different ways to get your music out there.

FreshMusicWorld: Have you ever faced criticism or rejection? How did you respond, and did it shape your work moving forward?

Jimmy Mallia: My style isn’t mainstream. So it is not for everyone. That is ok. I hope the right audience appreciates it because I am not changing.

FreshMusicWorld: How do you approach collaboration, and what do you think is gained when working with other artists or creatives?

Jimmy Mallia: I try to take feedback well. Listen to people’s suggestions, especially when mixing. But at the end of the day, I want it to come out like I intended.

FreshMusicWorld: How do you integrate feedback from others into your work without compromising your artistic vision?

Jimmy Mallia: I have taken suggestions when it comes to the instruments in a mix and has worked out well. As long as it adds to the intent and meaning of a song, I am all for it.

FreshMusicWorld: Is there a particular project or exhibition that you feel defined as a turning point in your career so far?

Jimmy Mallia: My first single titled Hey Hey was received so well that it kept me going. I was so excited when the message was heard and well received it made me believe I have something to offer.

FreshMusicWorld: What are some of the biggest goals or dreams you have for your art career, and what steps are you taking to reach them?

Jimmy Mallia: I want to put out a record with a label and tour. I have been in contact with some agents to help fulfill that dream.
