PITTSBURGH, PA – As mainstream artists and social influencers look to create a 30-second TikTok viral sensation, Gwynn Gold has taken a more serious approach to listeners with her in-depth lyrics, melodic rhythms, and lustrous voice in her album, “Land of Honey.”

Throughout “Land of Honey,” Gold’s powerhouse vocals emphasize her dynamic range in the 70s classic rock inspired pop genre. With rock elements and retro feels from legendary artists such as The Grateful Dead and Crosby, Stills, & Nash, Gold’s style is Americana fused with elements of Southern Rock, Blues, and Jazz that form pop-infused melodies and lyrical masterpieces.

“My lyrics and the music itself are challenging and require you to think through and reflect on them,” said Gwynn Gold, a former opera singer.

“Land of Honey” contains references in each track to the other songs urging fans to listen to the entire album for its complete story. Taking inspiration from an experience, event, or personal relationship, Gold utilizes her classically trained voice along with its support and volume to bring her observations to music. “Land of Honey” is a well-thought-out and dynamically sequenced group of twelve songs composed with profound poetic interpretations that hit fans in the heart with their true meaning and encompass a range of emotions.

The single “My Blues Eyes” and its accompanying music video exemplify Gold’s strong melodic rhythms and harmonies that ooze out. The song focuses on understanding or witnessing an event while wishing to redo past events. “It’s about trauma and saying, I know I’ve been through this, and I know that this is not something I want to go through again. But I would go through it again because it made me a better person,” she explained. “Nobody wishes trauma upon anyone, but the song comes full circle. It’s both reflecting and finding a way to move forward through life.”

The music video staged at a luxurious ballroom depicts Gold in an evening gown connecting to viewers as her eyes pierce the camera, and her voice resonates strongly and boldly. Images of various traumatic events appear in still images representing life-changing occurrences. An artistic touch is added to the video as the dancer, Rocco Duranti, dances throughout the ballroom and the melody climaxes with her vocal range.

“Teardrop Tattoo” is a standout mix of disco-funk which encourages fans to have confidence and fun. Gold typically begins each concert with “Teardrop Tattoo” as it sets the mood for melodic songs to come while harkening back to the old-style jazz clubs in New Orleans.

The single “The City” is all about New York and all its excitement and possibilities. “It’s about being alone there and having the confidence to get out by yourself to do your own thing,” she explained. “It’s an independent woman song.” Aside from “The City’s” empowerment message, the horn section stands out as it powers through, accompanying her soaring vocals.

Another solid track from “Land of Honey” is “Hypocrite,” which owes its lyrics to the sanctimonious hypocrite who seems to be a part of everyone’s life. Staying true to form, Gold uses the song to lay a tapestry of musical perfection.

“Land of Honey” is a solid album representing a rising artist redefining music as she takes influences of the past and mixes them with today’s lyrics. Methodically creating each track, Gold said, “My sole purpose is to heal and help people reflect on the music and their lives. The album tells a story, but it’s so much more than just being about me. ‘Land of Honey’ is a healing album and something that people can reflect on rather than just listen to. I hope that people will dig in and find hidden things in the album to help them live their lives with contentment and fulfillment.”
