During 2011's X Factor Music New's Reality TV reviewer Dean Midas Maynard officially promoted Janet Devlin via her family and ahead of the X Factor tour starting in February, Dean caught up with Janet to see what her plans and hopes are for 2012.

Dean Midas: Hope you are well Janet, what are your goals and dreams for 2012

Janet Devlin: I am very well, thanks Dean. My goal for 2012 is to have my own album released and for it to be successful.

Dean Midas: It's been a few months since you left the X Factor, when you look back what will be your overriding memory of your time in the show and what was the feeling like performing to over 10 million viewers a week?

Janet Devlin: My overriding memory of being on the X Factor was meeting Florence and the Machine and the other top Artists. Performing to the 10 million was daunting for me, but I am grateful to the viewers who voted for me and to the new fans I have now made.

Dean Midas: The X Factor tour starts in February, how excited are you to be performing in so many big and well known arena's around the UK.

Janet Devlin: I think it's going to be amazing and I am so excited. I am looking forward to meeting some of my fans and hope they will turn up to see me. I am also looking forward to playing in the Odyssey Arena in Belfast and the 02 in Dublin.

Dean Midas : How flattering was it to be offered a record deal by Duncan Bannatyne's Label RKA, literally 35 minutes after leaving the X Factor

Janet Devlin: It was amazing to be offered a record deal so soon after finishing in the X Factor. It gave me hope for my future career.

Dean Midas: I spoke with your dad the other day and he told me Paddy Power had offered odds of 50/1 for you to have a US number one and 8/1 that you will apear in a hair dye commercial. what do you think of that?

Janet Devlin: I think it is good to be recognised by Paddy Power but I will have to wait and see what the outcome of those odds are.

Dean Midas: If you could duet with anybody, anywhere in the world, who would it be and why?

Janet Devlin: I would like to duet with City and Colour or Devendra Banhart - both of them inspire me to make music.

Dean Midas: You have an unbelievably loyal fanbase, what would you like to say to your fans ahead of what could be a huge 2012 for you.

Janet Devlin: I hope I do not disappoint my loyal fan base and I look forward to performing for them throughout the X Factor tour and beyond. I hope they enjoy the music I go on to make.

Dean Midas: Finally Janet, I am honoured that you and your family allowed me to promote before, during and after your time on the X Factor and I wish you all the best for 2012 and beyond.

Janet Devlin : Thanks again for all your support Dean it is much appreciated by me and my family.
