Written over the course of a year, the album reflects on two relationships the multi-dimensional creator and singer went through, rewritten in a sequential narrative that encapsulates multiple emotions, all rooted in authentic and vulnerable expression. With soundscapes ranging from neo-soul to R&B to afrobeats, this is an album created with intentionality and purpose. It’s an album meant to express her journey but also connect with others through it.

“I was falling in and out of love while also finding a deeper sense of self love within. A lot of my writing is a combination of freestyling, finding the right melodies and singing poetry. I like to find the right words and rhymes to express myself. I also like to use vulnerability and affirmations in my songwriting, both for myself and the listener.” she explained.

With tracks titles like “oceans of emotions” “turn of the tide” and “ pisces love tune,” Aïsha purposely wanted water to be a central theme on the album. Even the cover reflects this as she poses against a sky and water background with calming blue shades displayed prominently. Additionally, the opening title track ends with the sounds of waves, setting the tone for the tranquility that follows as the album continues.

“The ocean has been a consistent oasis and sanctuary for me as I’ve gone through life. It’s an infinite source of life, magic and inspiration. As a singer and a dancer, I’m always in a flow state and I wanted that to come through in the music…I actually was originally going to call this album ‘Waves’ because the waves of life is something I always return to. I go through highs and lows and I feel like we all experience that… When the waves come, let them wash over you. Trust that they won’t drown you, trust that you’re being led where you need to go.” she said.

While love is a central theme of the project, Aïsha’s spirituality is just as prominent across it too. For one, there are two interludes on the album, each intentionally placed to highlight themes of the project. The first, titled “sehréa’s prayer,” comes from her friend Sehréa N’Dayu, whose track is a voice message text filled with affirmations, encouragement and positivity. “It just made me feel so seen, uplifted, enlightened and appreciated. It shows the importance of surrounding yourself with those that can love and uplift you.” she shared. The penultimate track, “mia’s prayer” is a spoken word piece that focuses on the theme of love and healing seen throughout the album. Mia’s words offer insight to the contrasting aspects of love and how one can embody two seemingly contrasting things in multiple ways within one’s self as well as with others. Both of these inclusions are a testament to the communal aspect that runs through everything Aïsha does.

Outside of singing, she is also the founder and creative director of The Healers Collective, a holistic healing event organization, and practices a classical Indian dance style called Odissi, bridging the classical dance world with contemporary concepts and movements. Naturally, the theme of community runs through the album too with multiple talented producers and instrumentalists, like Jeremiah Ince, Colvin Iorio, Ethan Long, and Samuel Cranston, bringing their contributions to the album to craft the ethereal sounds flowing through it.

When speaking with Aïsha, she shared that the thing that brings her the most peace in life is the fact her life is centered around love. With love radiating through everything she does and being the core of who she is, it’s easy for her to continue doing things she loves every day. Naturally, by existing this way, like-minded individuals surround her in all that she pursues and she continues to meet others lead with love as she does.

“I’m creating my dream life. I’m actually living my dream life in the present. I have an infinite source of love within me and I feel like it’s going to guide me wherever I need to go. It’s going to pick me up when I’m down, it's going to protect me and it’s going to lead me into the spaces that are meant for me.” she said.

Aïsha’s Divine Love embodies her as an individual, an artist and as a human who has experienced love in multiple ways through relationships and shared it with the world through music. By hearing and experiencing it, listeners will journey with her and let her guide them as they reflect on their own journeys and learn how multifaceted love can be, and how healing and infinite self-love is.

Aïsha’s debut album Divine Love currently has three singles available on streaming services and the full album releases on May 9th, 2025.
