Zarenae is a fast-rising singer/songwriter, born and raised in sunny Southern California. She debuted with her first original song, “Body Talk,” this summer in 2021. With that track, we were introduced to a talented singer with a versatile voice and a knack for expertly delivering a catchy Pop hook. Zarenae has continued to release more original music throughout 2021.

Every Artist has a sexy pop song that is so addictive that listeners can’t get enough of it. Zarenae’s new single “Bésame” proves to be a fan-favorite, infusing her Latin origins and creating this Latin American pop song. “Bésame,” meaning “kiss me” in Spanish, combines romance and passion, giving the singer and songwriter a place in the Southern California industry as a rising star.

Zarenae, being half Latina, said, “my new song, ‘Bésame,’ is super special to her because it’s allowed me to connect with my heritage while doing what I love most, making music.

“Growing up with Spanish culture, I found comfort in the cultural food, music, and activities,” Zarenae explained. She remembers going over to her grandparent’s house as a child, often of Latin descent. “My grandmother was an amazing cook; my favorite foods she made were arroz con pollo, tamales, and flan from scratch,” she said. Her grandparents were very religious, and Zarenae would go to Spanish Mass with them as a child on Sundays. Her grandparents’ origins include Chihuahua, Mexico, and Madrid, Spain. One of Zarenae’s fondest memories growing up was her mother cooking breakfast while singing and dancing to a Shakira Spanish song.

Utilizing the two languages in “Bésame,” Zarenae has grown closer with her Latin heritage. Taking inspiration from JLo and Camila Cabello, Zarenae admires these performers who embrace their Latin roots in American pop music culture today.

While “Bésame” is a Latin pop love song, Zarenae’s music incorporates multiple genres, such as electro-pop and R&B. Listening to her discography, fans expect to hear melodies from different music styles. Still, one thing remains - a contagious beat and playful lyrics.

Zarenae is no newcomer to the performance aspect in the industry. She has been performing on stages since she was around 15 years old. Currently, she can be found on stages across the state and just finished a show at the iconic Viper Room on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood.

“Performing live is the best feeling in the world. I can’t wait to get back on stage in 2022.” Zarenae has lots of music plans coming in 2022, with singles set to be released. She is also preparing for more live concerts next year.

“The sound I bring - and the messages I share in my music - makes me stand out and be unique, I think,” she said. “I try to surround myself with a positive vibe, no matter what’s going on. My music is very upbeat and flirty.

“My goal, whether it’s in a 3-minute song or a two-hour set, is to help people forget everything going on around them so that they can have fun and dance! I’m just a fun California girl, and I really hope my music can spread positive energy to the world so that people can experience a good, fun moment.”
