Charles Edward Davis, better known as Chuckyy, may be just 19 years old, but he’s already proving himself to be far more seasoned than his age suggests on I Live, I Die, I Live Again (Resurrected). If this is your first time hearing about him, it probably won’t be the last, because what he’s delivering now is only the beginning of what’s to come.

With his third release, Chuckyy delivers a chilling, shadowy soundscape. Much like a horror movie legend, he shows unshakable determination and toughness as he tells stories about growing up in one of America’s most dangerous cities. The Resurrected edition serves as a deluxe version, offering seven additional tracks that blend horrorcore and drill for an intense listening experience.

Still, Chuckyy isn’t limited to one style. His breakout hit "My World" which landed on the Hot 100 takes a sharp turn from drill and horrorcore. It leans toward an alt-pop vibe, featuring a haunting sample from EKKSTACY’s chorus.

On that track, Chuckyy keeps his cold, steady tone as he delivers hard-hitting lines about violence and loss. “This sht like Simon Says, what I say go, my glizzy be doin' the most / Wherever you catch me, I'm totin', a handshake cool, but I'll leave your sht on the floor / Smokin' on death, no choke, another n**** died, I know this sh*t no joke.”

All in all, his range and his willingness to push boundaries show the makings of a future household name. Chuckyy is on the rise, and it’s going to be tough for anyone to slow his momentum.
