Lil Charlie is ready to blast into the acting scene in full force, saying that what he lacks in experience, he provides the enthusiasm and a strong desire to succeed in both the small and big screen.

Born and raised in the tiny town of Crenshaw, Mississippi, Lil Charlie said there aren’t many in that small community who would dream of taking a shot at an acting career.

The moniker Lil Charlie is in honor of his dad who passed two years ago from throat cancer. Growing up it was the name everyone gave him, and something that has since stuck and he now plans to use in his newly budding acting career.

“He probably wouldn’t believe it,” Lil Charlie says. “As a kid I always wanted to be like other people and imitate other people, role playing. This dream came upon me a couple years ago, and I haven’t told everyone yet because I just have to follow this dream. I see it and I feel like it is my purpose in life.”

And this is where he’s at, showcasing his authentic and humble demeanor as someone who is ready to play a character the world can fall in love with.

“Back in the church days I used to be in plays, but outside of that, this is just something new that I want to do,” Lil Charlie says.

Lil Charlie knows if he puts into the effort and dedication into this craft, it can drastically change his life. It’s time for him to chase his dreams and use his life experiences living in a small southern town to push him to be the best actor he can be.

“I think other actors had a big effect on me, and that’s why I want to act,” he says.

He admires actors like Brad Pitt, Michael B. Jordan, Joe Pesci and Robert DeNiro, and much like it is for them, Lil Charlie says this is his calling.

“I’m so passionate about this, and as long as I do my part then God will take care of the rest,” Lil Charlie explains. “I know I won’t just be an Oscar winner overnight, but I want to play someone like Joe Pesci when he played Tommy in Goodfellas. A sensible gangster.”

Lil Charlie likes how Pesci’s character can dish it out, but can’t take the heat when it’s brought, and all the while is just someone who is completely tapped. While he loves that kind of role, he knows that isn’t the limit. Lil Charlie doesn’t see himself being a comedian in the true sense, but he knows he is naturally funny and wants to get himself out there to be discovered.

“I want to do my best to bring the audience in and have everyone in tune with what I’m doing when I’m acting,” he says. “Practice makes perfect and builds character.”

Lil Charlie is getting the ball rolling in his acting career and is actively looking to be casted in your next project. Whether it is a commercial, television show or a movie, he is only a call away from auditioning for role that could take him to the next level.
