Features : In New Dance Pop Single “Land of Groove,” Reality Star Elle Mona’e Doesn’t Care Who’s Watching

At the start of her new pop track “Land of Groove,” influencer and reality star Elle Mona’e sings, softly, “Time is moving fast / I don’t care who’s watching.”

For a young woman approaching 200k followers on social media, that’s a bold statement. But don’t call her an “influencer.”

“I’m not trying to influence anyone to do anything,” Mona’e says. “I just enjoy creating, recording, and making content, especially music.”

Written by Los Angeles songwriter Lano Keys, “Land of Groove” is a perfectly crafted dance pop tune that is all about putting “one foot in front of the other.” The bassline thumps and rolls while synths shimmer and shine. But what really sparkles is Mona’e herself, her voice alternately soft and strong, sexy and smooth.

I just want to dance one dance with you
So just take my hand to the land of groove

In pivoting to music out of acting success, Mona’e is following in the mold of those like Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. These childhood icons proved to her that young women could successfully move between industries without losing their sense of self.

A Maryland native, Mona’e has grown her career honestly and organically. Beginning as a zodiac-inspired clothing designer, her social media presence caught the attention of reality tv producers. She soon starred on shows like Netflix’s Too Hot to Handle, Season 2, and was featured on the cover of Playboy South Africa. Those experiences eventually brought her to Los Angeles, where influencer events connected her with Keys.

Elle’s vision stretches far beyond the dance floor. She talks about wanting to build a brand that blends her passions for music, fashion, and personality into a single magnetic identity. “I want people to connect with me on different levels,” she says, “through music, through fashion, everything. I’m building something multifaceted, not just one lane.”

Even with her growing ambition, Mona’e stays grounded in the genuine connection she has with her followers. Whether she’s sharing behind-the-scenes studio moments or glimpses into her daily life, her fans have come to expect authenticity. That is something she intends to keep at the center of every new creative chapter.

What is most authentic to Elle Mona’e so far is to keep moving and keep growing. ““I’m always looking for ways to grow and improve in all areas of my life,” she says.

Fans can soon expect a followup to “Land of Groove,” which will showcase the singer’s R&B stylings. For now, Mona’e is going to keep putting one foot in front of the other, moving forward in a career where the sky is the limit. No matter who’s watching.
