SEATTLE, Wash.  — Feb. 12, 2026 — Nigerian-American singer and performer Ase Odin deepens his artistic narrative with the release of “I Love You,” a sweeping, orchestral-infused love song that captures the emotional architecture of commitment, gratitude, and enduring partnership.

Blending Afro-fusion, R&B, and live classical instrumentation, the single reveals a more intimate dimension of Odin’s artistry — one rooted not in celebration alone, but in reflection, emotional growth, and the lived experience of loving someone over time.

Written during his courtship with the woman who would become his wife, the song documents the transition from attraction to emotional permanence.

“This song was written to my wife when we were dating,” Odin says. “The essence of me writing the song was in how to love and how to be loved.”

Rather than centering spectacle, “I Love You” draws power from restraint. Its narrative is built on the quiet moments that define real relationships — shared stillness, reassurance, humor, and emotional presence.

“I wanted to hold on to the memories — the calmness, the little things we did together,” he explains. “Her presence made me happy. She completed me in that sense.”

The single marks a striking sonic departure from Odin’s earlier high-energy releases, including “No Wahala” and “We Got This.” Where those records pulse with rhythmic momentum, “I Love You” unfolds with deliberate emotional pacing.

“You can tell from the first note that it’s different,” he says. “You hear it, and you say, ‘Wait a minute — is this the same person?’”

Central to the track’s emotional weight is its live orchestration. Featuring piano and layered violin arrangements, the production was designed to feel expansive yet deeply personal. Odin first mapped the instrumentation digitally before commissioning live musicians to recreate the arrangements in full fidelity.

“I played it the way I wanted it to sound, then I sent it off because I wanted it live,” he says. “I wanted it to be so vivid — the way I envisioned it in my head.”

Structurally, the song’s emotional core began with its dual hooks — melodic refrains that frame both devotion and fear of loss.

“I started with the hooks first — ‘Never want to know why, never want to say goodbye, all I ever wanted is to be with you,” Odin shares. “Then I built the verses around that feeling.”

Beyond romance, the single conveys a message about emotional awareness and appreciation—particularly in long-term relationships, where routine can overshadow gratitude.

“Sometimes we take love for granted,” he says. “You come home from the pressure of life, and just their presence — hearing ‘Hello’ — changes everything.”

The release signals continued artistic expansion as Odin moves toward his forthcoming debut album, scheduled for completion in May 2026. The project is expected to feature Afrobeat, reggae, love ballads, and globally influenced sounds that reflect his diasporic journey.

“My goal is just to be able to relate — to send messages people in that moment can feel,” he says.

With “I Love You,” Ase Odin not only broadens his sonic palette but reinforces his commitment to music rooted in sincerity, cultural fusion, and emotional truth.
