Rising singer-songwriter Kenzy Kyx is back with a bold and uplifting new single, “Keep The Party Going.” Marking the evolution of her sound since her previous EP Glitter, the single serves as both a triumphant comeback and a personal statement of resilience.

Based in Oregon, Kenzy Kyx began her musical journey at a young age, writing songs in the comfort of her bedroom. Music quickly became more than a hobby — it was a refuge.

“When I was about seven, I got my first drum kit for Christmas. I loved the place music would take my mind,” recalls Kenzy. From drums to writing lyrics, Kenzy Kyx’s journey into music quickly developed. Because she was shy as a child, Kenzy focused on music as a private outlet, only beginning to share it in her early 20s.

Following a trip to Nashville with her family, she realized she, too, longed to connect with people through her art the way the musicians on stage did. “That’s what I wanted for my life,” remembers Kenzy, using the moment as a catalyst to focus on artist development.

“Keep The Party Going” is a shift toward the new Kenzy, the version of the artist that listeners will hear on her new album. “It’s definitely party girl vibes,” shares the artist. “It’s circa 2010 dance pop with modern influences.”

Kenzy’s earlier work is rooted in soft pop with acoustic influences, but “Keep The Party Going” signals an exciting evolution in her sound. Drawing inspiration from iconic 2010s pop artists like Kesha and Lady Gaga, while blending in modern pop elements reminiscent of Charli XCX and Lorde, Kenzy delivers a track that is both nostalgic and refreshingly current.

“Keep The Party Going,” while sonically distinct from previous work, came to life in the usual Kenzy Kyx fashion. “Typically, my process is lyrics first. Then, I pick the key that suits the vibe, then melodies, and then the chord progressions follow,” explains Kenzy. “I’ve written songs in different orders based on what’s inspiring me, but this one was lyrics first — my standard process.” Retaining the shy girl habits of her youth, Kenzy Kyx only shares her unfinished songs with her close confidant and singing coach in Washington, who helps her fine tune her music to best showcase her authentic voice. “Only when it’s perfect do I bring it home to my mom,” jokes Kenzy Kyx.

A nod to her evolved sound as an artist, “Keep The Party Going” is first and foremost a reminder to preserve and seek joy when life gets tough. With its blend of emotional honesty and dance-floor energy, the single captures the spirit of pushing forward—even in the face of adversity. It’s a song for anyone who’s ever needed a reminder to keep moving, keep healing, and keep the party going.

“I want to remind others to seek out love and light in community,” adds Kenzy Kyx. “I would love for listeners to leave the song feeling like life moves on, so party on. As a writer, the creative process is for me. But when I release the song, it’s no longer mine. Whatever listeners take from the song is their individual experience.”

In addition to “Keep The Party Going,” Kenzy Kyx looks forward to sharing her full album with listeners later this year. She is also planning several live shows this year to get a chance to connect with her listeners in real time.

“Keep The Party Going” is available on all streaming platforms, with promotional support from Starlight PR.
