Singer-songwriter Alexis Arnold invites listeners into a more intimate side of her artistry with the release of “Missing Piece (Acoustic),” an acoustic rendition that puts the emotion of the song—and Arnold’s remarkable voice—front and center. Unafraid to open her heart through song, Alexis reminds us that love is vulnerable and life changing.

Known for her soulful, ballad-driven pop and powerhouse vocals, Alexis has built her career around music that is both deeply personal and relatable. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Adele, Mariah Carey, and Alicia Keys, she combines an expressive vocal range with honest songwriting that explores the experiences, emotions, and moments that shape our lives.

Alexis found her calling early in life. “My love for music started with my grandmother, who was a concert pianist,” shares Alexis of her early start learning piano before taking on vocal studies. At 13, Alexis Arnold earned recognition from the Fort Lauderdale Children’s Theatre for her winning performance of “A Whole New World.” This milestone led to larger theater roles, including the lead of Gabriella Montez in High School Musical at her high school.

With vocal maturity came more opportunities for Alexis, as she began to sing in various languages as part of her classical training. Her passion and talent led to a music scholarship to Saint Joseph University in Philadelphia, where she would later have the great privilege and honor to perform for Pope Benedict in Rome, Italy.

Upon graduating university, Alexis grew empowered to pursue music and songwriting professionally. Posting her work on YouTube, she quickly amassed views and built a loyal fanbase. Since launching her songwriting journey, Alexis has written alongside Grammy-nominated producers, including Rick Parkhouse, George Tizzard, and Mario Gil, who have worked alongside top artists in the music industry including James Arthur, Andrea Bocelli and Charlie Puth.

Her growing profile has also created unique opportunities outside of music. Blending her love of music and fashion, Alexis was styled by fashion icon Barbara Hulanicki, founder of Biba, who hand-selected pieces for Alexis and sketched her original performance at the Amaturo Theater.

Alexis holds her personal endeavors at the forefront of her journey, yet she always makes time to give back and contribute to philanthropic causes as well. She has lent her talent to charity fundraisers and continues to lend a voice to those most in need.

While Alexis’ vocal ability has long been a defining part of her artistry, it is her willingness to be vulnerable as a songwriter that gives her original music its emotional core. Her songs feature raw, honest lyrics inspired by her personal experiences, creating a connection with listeners who may see pieces of their own stories reflected in her music.

“Missing Piece (Acoustic)” offers listeners an especially vulnerable presentation of Alexis’ artistry. With a more intimate arrangement, the acoustic version allows the emotion behind the lyrics to shine, creating a personal listening experience that feels both raw and inviting. Alexis’ vocal control takes the stage, demonstrative of a classical upbringing with the versatility of a modern pop star.

The original “Missing Piece” can be found on Alexis’ 2025 EP, Adore, but this single is not that song. In its acoustic form, “Missing Piece (Acoustic)” not only bares all – it invites listeners to feel the depths of emotion, too. “This song is very special to me,” shares Alexis on returning to “Missing Piece” with a renewed sense of purpose. “I wanted to give the track a version with just me and the piano.”

When the first version was created, Alexis went into the studio with the hook and title in hand, knowing she was about to complete a song about finding the perfect person. Alongside producer Sam Shriev, she captured the essence of love, discovery, and hope all in one melody. The end result wasn’t just a song – it was an anthem about connecting with the one person who exceeds all our expectations from inside out.

“Missing Piece (Acoustic)” takes this realization to a new height, pouring deep vulnerability into every note and creative choice. “My single is a vulnerable, honest song about deep love,” adds Alexis Arnold. “It captivates a deep admiration for how truly beautiful and very special this person is in my life.”

Of the truthful lyrics, the section which holds most meaning to Alexis reads, “I didn’t believe in perfect until I saw you underneath the surface.” She hopes to convey how how love has layers. Through her poetry, Alexis describes how this person is not only beautiful from an outside appearance, but what she admires the most is how beautiful this person is on the inside, at the soul level.

For Alexis Arnold, music is ultimately about creating connection and offering hope. Alexis’ fans know her music is honest and that her catalogue is autobiographical.

With “Missing Piece (Acoustic),” Alexis Arnold continues to introduce audiences to the artist behind the voice—one who isn’t afraid to embrace vulnerability, tell the truth through music, and remind listeners that even in their most difficult moments, they are not alone.

“Missing Piece (Acoustic)” is available on all streaming platforms, with promotional support from Starlight PR.
