Up-and-coming rapper from Chattanooga, Tennessee, Maxx B is back with fresh bars and a new album titled Me Against The World.

Me Against The World is Maxx B’s third album. The 15-song album represents his life experiences through bars and beats. “Basically, the inspiration is me and my struggle,” tells Maxx B. “It’s me coming up and going through what I gone through. I’m trying to get the world to understand what I went through and putting it out for other people to relate to it.”

“Star,” the first song on the album, dropped on August 22. “It’s a nice song for sure,” shares Maxx B of his recent release. Another single off the album, “Culture,” followed suit the following day. “‘Culture’ is about who I hustle for—my people and my culture who supported me,” tells the rapper.

After all, Maxx B isn’t in it alone—he has a solid group of supporters accompanying him on this journey. “I got people around me for a long time that support me,” shares the rapper. “They know it ain’t a joke. I turned something I was playing with into real life. Now I’m taking the chance and going with it.”

While the rapper only began his career in music two years ago, it has shaped his life in countless ways. “I never thought of rapping until I realized I was good at it. Its more than just music to me—it’s a way of life. Everything I’m speaking about I did or am about to do.”

To create the album, Maxx B relied on notes written in his phone and sudden inspiration. For his instrumentals, the rapper worked with a beat maker who understood the unique sound he was looking for. “I’ve been working with a guy who makes beats and relates to me to the point he knows me,” adds Maxx B. “Every song I got I named off a beat he made. I go by feeling. I listen and keep listening to the beat to come up with something real, authentic. Then I create a second verse and do the same thing.” When the songs were ready to go and recorded through his own record label, Maxx B worked with an in-house producer for final editing and mixing.

His two previous albums earned over 30k and 60k plays without formal promotion. Motivated by the success of his homegrown audiences, Maxx B looks forward to reaching more listeners as he continues to release new music throughout the year.
