Israeli rapper Vortex Flow releases his latest single, "My Female Version," offering a raw and introspective take on identity within the context of an unconventional relationship. This track marks the second single off Vortex Flow's highly anticipated forthcoming album, Rapaissance, his debut English-language release, following his previous work in Hebrew. While “My Female Version” has an encouraging message for listeners, it is also a song you can jam out to, showcasing Vortex Flow's versatility and appeal.

“Basically, this track talks about an odd relationship in which I see myself in a woman; she’s the female version of me,” shared Vortex Flow. “What I rap about in the song is that opposites attract to each other.”

Through his honest and introspective lyrics, Vortex Flow offers a refreshing take on love and relationships, highlighting the complexity and unpredictability of human connections. Delving into the inspiration behind the song, he shares insights into the unique relationship dynamics that fueled its creation. Reflecting on the experience and the unconventional nature of the relationship, Vortex Flow emphasizes that this is not a traditional love song but an observation of the strange dynamics that can occur within intimate relationships.

“Some relationships are unusual and odd, and I wanted to explore that, so it’s not necessarily a love song; it’s about the experiences you can have in life,” explained Vortex Flow. “I also wanted to look at how opposites attract – light to dark, tall to short, artistic to practical – it’s interesting to think about how you can see yourself in the form of another person.”

While Vortex Flow is the creative force behind his music, he credits his producer and long-time collaborator, Raz Klinghoffer, for the production, emphasizing their seamless partnership in bringing his artistic vision to life. Additionally, Kerrigan Productions, led by Frank Kerrigan, played a pivotal role in bringing Vortex Flow's creative vision to life through the music video for "My Female Version." Vortex Flow's meticulous planning and Kerrigan's expertise in video editing resulted in a visually compelling narrative that perfectly complemented the song's emotive depth.

“I definitely want to shout out my boy Raz Klinghoffer – he just knows how to make the beat exactly as I envision it,” said Vortex Flow. “And Frank Kerrigan, who did a hell of a job with the video.”

“Middle of the Ladder” was the first taste of Vortex Flow's new album, with the second single, “My Female Version,” recently released on May 21st. But the excitement doesn't stop there; Vortex Flow plans to release at least four more songs before the full 16-track album hits the shelves. Rapaissance is a testament to artistic revolution through the lens of hip hop. With a mix of genres and diverse beats, this album is set to redefine the boundaries of his music.

“I bring a lot of elements to this album; every track is a different world. It’s going to be multiple genres in one, plus different versions of beats and instrumentals,” shared Vortex Flow. “I want to go to new artistic boundaries when it comes to the current album.”

Vortex Flow's sound is shaped by various influences spanning multiple decades and genres. While hip-hop is a cornerstone of his artistic identity, Vortex Flow also draws inspiration from electronic acts from the 90s. Regarding rappers, Vortex Flow enjoys artists like Kurupt, WC, Tha Dogg Pound, Snoop Dogg, and The Game. Beyond hip-hop, Vortex Flow finds inspiration in bands like Enigma and Zero 7, whose ethereal melodies and slow-paced rhythms were the standard for chill-out music of the 90s.

While the full album is set to release in 2025, fans should keep an eye out for the next four singles Vortex Flow plans to unveil. These upcoming tracks showcase his diverse musical influences and innovative approach - but that's not all. There are whispers of some live performances in the works, offering listeners a chance to experience Vortex Flow's dynamic artistry firsthand.
