S7GMA (Sigma) is a multi-talented rapper and producer who does everything with intention. From his name to his new single, “Sorry,” and upcoming project Mind of Me, he is focused on being the best version of himself in all aspects.

This comes with being honest and vulnerable about the things he has dealt with in life. He hopes that the listeners get something. out of it that can help them move forward through life just as he does.

When speaking with S7GMA, his deliberateness is notable from the first, in a discussion of his name, which comes from the 18th letter of the Greek alphabet. Like most people, he viewed turning 18 as the moment of true freedom and he wants that feeling of true freedom to carry him through life as he continues to move past the burdens and trials that come with it.

On socials, he often uses “777” in such things as captions and tweets. S7GMA studies numerology and learned the number seven is a constant throughout the world in multiple aspects. He realized how many things resolved around that number and how many things revolved around him, too.

“I’m not necessarily the main attraction or main event, but if I wasn’t here, everything would be out of rotation,” he said.

“Sorry” was written over the course of a year. He speaks on the song of several losses he experienced which would tear anyone down emotionally and mentally. The track’s initially somber production grows as it progresses along with his delivery, which gets more and more emotionally charged.

He explained that within the song he is essentially speaking to himself but others can still be motivated by it through his own version of tough love.

“Instead of feeling sorry for myself, let me get up and put something into motion because time waits for nobody,” he explained.

S7GMA makes music to motivate himself and others. Motivation can come from a variety of lanes but his comes from a place of genuineness every time.

In the current rap landscape, producers are just as celebrated as rappers, but some artists navigate both lanes simultaneously. S7GMA produced multiple other tracks in his discography, including “Sorry,” and shared how balancing both is “stressful” but, at the same time, always worth it in the end.

“I actually feel more proud of my more recent releases than any of the ones before that. From producing to writing to mixing, marketing and releasing, it’s all me. Can’t nobody take any of that from me.”

S7GMA continues to capitalize on what he knows he’s capable of.

His upcoming EP, Mind of Me, has a perfectly fitting title. The project takes listeners on a journey into his thought process throughout various times in his life, with growth being the key result of it all.

He currently has another single out titled “Now,” which is actually the last song on the project. Once the full project releases in November, listeners will see the full story unfold and learn how he got to where he is in life — now.

S7GMA continues to follow in the footsteps of artists before him by having his authenticity and vulnerability be what draws people to his music. By handling multiple parts of the creative process on his own and sharing so much of himself in the music, it's easy for his authenticity to shine through in anything and everything that he does.

By moving with calculated precision, S7GMA aims to make the best of every moment he has.

“Bet on yourself today because tomorrow may not happen. But today may benefit tomorrow. Live in the now because now is forever.”
