Fans of Wallows think the band are teasing new music.

Speculation began after cryptic billboards started cropping up in New York City and Chicago, featuring the band’s signature font and the deep orange colour that features on their social media icons.

The billboards read: “New Favourite Song. Out Jan 10”. They also all include the web address “yournewfavoritesong.co”, which links to a newsletter sign-up page alongside text saying “more to come”.

Fans who have spotted the billboards have been sharing their reactions, with one writing: “I walked past this and stopped in my tracks. IM SOOO UP,” and another adding: “NEW POSTER SEEN IN CHICAGO? SET YOUR CALENDARS!”

Check it out below.

Wallows’ most recent album ‘Model’ came out last year, and was described by NME in a three-star review as “indie-pop that stays in the comfort zone”.

It continued: “‘Model’, then, feels too safe for a band that has been around for this long and is both simultaneously slated for some of their biggest shows yet, but still yet to really leave a footprint in the indie scene. Perhaps the songs from ‘Model’ they decide will flourish in those spaces, but one can’t help feeling like there were risks that should have been taken.”

In other news, Wallows are set to support My Chemical Romance at the July 26 Los Angeles stop of their 2025 US stadium tour, which will celebrate their 2006 album ‘The Black Parade’. Check out a full list of dates here and visit here to purchase tickets.

Meanwhile, frontman Dylan Minnette recently revealed why he chose to quit acting and focus on music instead. He first shot to stardom after starring in 13 Reasons Why, but has since revealed that reaching such heights in his career prompted him to revaluate things.

“I was fortunate to find success in [acting],” he said during a recent interview on the Zach Sang Show.

“I was on 13 Reasons Why and it was really popular and definitely reached a peak in what I’ve had in acting. But it also started to feel like a bit of a job. I was in a very fortunate position, it was always fun for me, always really inspiring, but then it was just starting to feel like just a job.”

He added that he hopes to take the band “all the way as far as we can.”

“I feel like I’m in a position now where I can just kind of like do that for a while and get this the farthest it can be,” he added. “The only way that’s gonna happen is if I put my 100% time and energy into it and take it very seriously and show the world that we all take this very seriously.”
