50 Cent has hit back at Jim Jones over comments he made about their controversial 2007 performance together.
The Dipset rapper discussed the infamous moment earlier this week in an interview with Justin Laboy and took shots at both 50 and Cam, who had previously revisited the concert on the latter’s Talk With Flee YouTube show.
The G-Unit general responded on Wednesday (January 8), mocking Jones by posting a selfie he took next to JAY-Z, Diddy, Fat Joe and Remy Ma at the 2017 Roc Nation brunch, with Capo clearly outside of the huddle.
He also dredged up the Harlem native’s involvement in 6ix9ine‘s racketeering trial, sharing a court transcript of a wiretapped phone call between the Diplomat (listed as Individual-1) and Jamel “Mel Murda” Jones, who was a co-defendant of 6ix9ine’s.
In the transcript, Jim Jones — who was identified as a member of the Nine Trey Gangster Bloods by 6ix9ine — calls for the “Gummo” hitmaker to “get violated” and claims “he ain’t a gang member no more.”
50 captioned his post: “LOL [grinning face emoji] INDIVIDUAL 1 calling the shots out here, I know you working so please don’t say gangster shit to me INDIVIDUAL 1!”
During his appearance on Justin Laboy’s Respectfully podcast, Jim Jones took issue with 50 Cent and Cam’ron’s retelling of his performance with the G-Unit boss.
After being shown a brief clip from the pair’s conversation, Capo said: “Them n-ggas be on my dick. Them n-ggas ain’t got nothing else to think about but Capo. I did a lot for them n-ggas in their life, ya heard? Both of them.”
He also defended his decision to join 50 on stage at the New York City show, which caused a stir thanks to Killa Cam’s beef with Fif at the time, as well as Dipset’s own internal issues.
“I heard what [50] said, ‘Koch was a graveyard’ and all that type of shit,” he added, referencing 50’s infamous argument with Cam on Hot 97. “I didn’t give a fuck about none of that.
“They called me like, ‘Yo, you wanna come out and perform at the show?’ [I replied,] ‘Shit yeah! I got the hottest record, I’m popping out.’ […] I wasn’t on nobody’s friendship. I was a pirate.”
The “We Fly High” hitmaker then joked: “Them n-ggas [in G-Unit] couldn’t even dress, but he had a platform for me to perform on in front of thousands of people in New York. Yeah, I’m taking that.”
