4MB Slimeball is a rapper based in Kalamazoo, Michigan. His music captures the life experience hes had in the area through vulnerable and honest yet energetic lyrics. His latest release, "Unfamiliar Faces,” captures his mindstate after being released from prison and returning to old and new people in his life.

Having a strong circle is a key aspect of 4MB Slimeballs life. The first part of his name, 4MB” stands for For My Brothers.” This abbreviation represents the importance of familial connection to him and highlights why "Unfamiliar Faces” is a song that captures what it can feel like when people who dont have that connection to him try to initiate one.

Now that Im back in the world and doing my thing, Im seeing people just pop up in my life because of my potential and theyre trying to take advantage of that.” he said.

4MB Slimeball wrote this song from a place of truth. All of his music is authentic but the songs like this in his discography come from a different place within him. Tracks like this are almost like diary entries because hes writing about himself for himself instead of others.

With the truth running through the entirety of "Unfamiliar Faces” the energy is just as prevalent. The production has a calm looped vocal sample but 4MB Slimeballs quick flow contrasts it excellently. He tends to gravitate towards a mid west based flow and sound naturally and in this track we hear him drop lines like:

Aint nothin’ gone get handed, sometimes you gotta take it
If I die before I wake

Dont put nobody in my place

These lines sit comfortably beside bar based lines like:

I lead the way, Insta not the only place they follow me…

If its beef then we gone grill it cause we know its all at stake…

Music has always been special to 4MB Slimeball. While locked up, he concluded that he was going to fully commit to it. He enjoys making it and sharing it with others and thats what he plans to continue to do.

I want people to hear my story and be able to connect with what I went through. I want them to see what Ive already accomplished and see the things I accomplish going forward too.” he said.

Being released from prison was perspective shifting for 4MB Slimeball. Upon being released, he gained a new appreciation for the freedom he had. While locked up, he reflected on just how valuable time is.

I have respect for my freedom. When youre young, you dont realize how quickly time can be taken away from you. My presence is valuable to my supporters. I need them and they need me. I have a strong respect for that now.” he said.

4MB Slimeball has plans to drop an EP soon and have a music video for every song on it. Creatively and sonically, his plans are nostalgic samples and classic techniques like voiceovers on songs. Hes focused on making sure he has an impactful 2026.

Im here to stay. I got the music and Im ready to drop it. Im ready to put the time, effort and dedication into it. I dont know what will happen next but I do like surprises.” he said.
