Since his last album, KOD, in 2018, rumors have persisted regarding the next projects from J. ColeThe Fall Off and The Off Season. The latter, which would precede the former, is supposed to be a continuation of his basketball-themed mixtapes The Come Up (in 2007), The Warm Up (in 2009), and Friday Night Lights (in 2010). In the meantime, Cole would release the Grammy-nominated Revenge Of The Dreamers III project.

After setting off The Fall Off with his Lewis Street mini-EP, Cole has revealed that its precursor now has a release date: May 14.

No word on what the first single will be, or if his Kill Edward persona — debuting on KOD — will make an appearance. But it’s safe to say that he may likely stick with his “no features” mantra once again. Guess we’ll all find out in the coming days.
