Charli XCX has given her verdict on some of 2024’s biggest films.

The star, who has signed up for a number of acting roles in a series of forthcoming films, spent much of Christmas catching up on a host of movies and sharing her opinion of them on the film social media site Letterboxd.

Among them were ChallengersConclave, and Nosferatu which she awarded five stars. She also gave a like for Anora.

She also noted that there “there were a lot of songs” on the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown, starring Timothée Chalamet and said Martha Stewart “is brat” after seeing her recent Netflix documentary Martha.

Some of Charli’s other favourite films included 1995’s The Addiction, 2000’s Charlie’s Angels, 1974’s Céline And Julie Go Boating, and 1935’s Bride Of Frankenstein.

It comes after she was recently cast in The Gallerist, an upcoming film by Birds Of Prey director Cathy Yan alongside Jenna Ortega, Natalie Portman, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Sterling K. Brown, Zach Galifianakis, Daniel Brühl and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

It follows last month’s news that she had joined the cast of Sacrifice, the English-language debut of French director Romain Gavras. She will star alongside Anya Taylor-Joy (Furiosa), Chris Evans (Avengers: Endgame), Vincent Cassel (Black Swan) and Ambika Mod (One Day).

This follows her stint pulling double duty in performing and hosting Saturday Night Live in November, where not only did she perform tracks from her most recent album, but also earned praise from fans for her on-screen ability and comic timing after delivering an Adele impression in a skit.

Elsewhere, Charli also received an additional Grammy nod for Best Recording Package, taking her total to eight at next year’s event, including for Record of the Year with ‘360’, and Album of the Year for cultural phenomenon album ‘Brat’.

Meanwhile, Charli has busy year on the road in 2025. As well as Primavera, she has been confirmed as the first headliner for next year’s Parklife and the ‘360’ artist will also curate a day at London’s LIDO Festival, where she will deliver a bill-topping performance.

Additionally, she will play two outdoor shows in Belfast and Dublin, perform at Coachella 2025, and, on top of that, she’s also announced a US arena tour for April and May. You can purchase any remaining tickets here.
