Deep Purple have revealed plans for a five show arena tour taking place in November 2026.
The rock icons will visit Newcastle, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester and London next year.
The run begins on November 18 at Newcastle’s Utilita Arena, then moves to Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on November 19, Birmingham’s BP Pulse Live Arena on November 21, Manchester’s AO Arena on November 22 and concludes at London’s Eventim Apollo on November 24.
Mammoth WVH, the hard hitting project created by Wolfgang Van Halen, will join the tour on selected dates, and rising UK band Jayler will appear throughout the full schedule. Mammoth WVH will be present at every show except the London date, while Jayler will support the entire time.
With a history stretching more than fifty years, Deep Purple continue to shape rock music with their timeless catalogue, from the unmistakable guitar lines of Smoke on the Water to the fierce drive of Highway Star. Their impact found fresh momentum recently when Child in Time was reworked for the trailer of the hit show Stranger Things, giving their music a new audience.
The group’s most recent album, 2024’s well received =1, showed that they are still full of creative energy. As they prepare for their return to the stage, audiences can look forward to a mix of favourites and a few unexpected choices.
General tickets become available on Friday (21.11.25) at 10am through AEG Presents.
The band had already shared plans for a European tour scheduled for June and July 2026.
This latest announcement follows comments from frontman Ian Gillan, 80, who shared that he is experiencing significant loss of vision and has acknowledged that retirement may be approaching.
He told Uncut magazine, “It’s one of those things. I’ve only got 30 per cent vision.
“That won’t get better. It makes life mysterious. The hardest thing is working on my laptop. I can’t see anything on the screen unless I use my peripheral vision, I pick up a line by looking at it sideways. But you find a way. You adapt.”
He continued, “It’s hilarious this growing old thing. It’s a laugh a minute. Well, sometimes yes and sometimes no. I walk down the road and hear something drop off, clang, there’s something else gone. Nothing’s changed really apart from I can’t pole vault any more. Other than that, things move a little more slowly. But nothing’s changed.”
When asked how long he expects to remain on tour, he added, “I think if I lose my energy I’m going to stop. I don’t want to be an embarrassment to anyone. We’re not far off that. It creeps up on you, you don’t really notice.”
