Taylor Swift’s track “August” is no longer available on a TikTok upload published by an account connected to President Donald Trump.

At the beginning of the week, Team Trump, which was created for Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign, uploaded altered footage showing Donald and Melania Trump viewing a fireworks display. Swift’s “August,” taken from her 2020 album Folklore, could be heard behind the clip. A message placed across the screen stated, “Mood because it’s August and Donald Trump is your president.”

The accompanying caption said, “I’m sure @Taylor Swift is going to be super excited we used her song! #taylorswift #maga #august.”

By Friday, Aug. 7, viewers accessing the upload from the U.S. discovered that “August” could no longer be heard. The clip now displays the notification, “This sound isn’t available.”

Viewers quickly responded to the missing track in the comments. “TAYLOR REMOVING THE AUDIO QUEEEEEEN,” one person wrote. Someone else said, “sorry what was that? cant hear the song.” Another user replied, “She removed it, clocked you guys.”

Team Trump now has 14 million TikTok followers and has continued uploading content regularly since Trump secured another term in office.

“August” is not the first Swift recording to vanish from Team Trump content. A different video using her 2025 single “Father Figure,” which was uploaded in November that year, has also become unavailable, Variety reports. A separate 2025 upload from the official White House TikTok page that featured “The Fate of Ophelia” has disappeared as well.

Swift had not addressed the matter publicly when the report was published.

Following the removals, Team Trump continued provoking Swift by selecting a concert rendition of the title song from her 2012 record Red. The upload includes artwork inspired by Red, placing an altered image of Trump’s profile across the lettering and displaying a fictional playlist called “Red (Trump’s Version).” No audio could be heard from the post at the time of publication.

The caption asks, “Did you know Taylor Swift wrote a whole album about the color of the Republican Party.”

Trump has openly criticized Swift since 2018, and their tensions grew after she supported Kamala Harris during the 2024 presidential race. He later wrote, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” on Truth Social.

After Swift married Travis Kelce on July 4, the White House responded through social media with content mocking the famous couple’s gathering at Madison Square Garden in New York. The upload showed a modified picture of the venue’s digital marquee displaying the words “Trump Is Your President.”
