Ariana Grande fought back tears while bringing The Eternal Sunshine Tour to a close on Tuesday evening.

Speaking to the audience during the final performance at The O2 Arena in London, the pop star described completing all 41 dates of the tour as an "extraordinary experience".

"I just want to say thank you so much," she began. "This has been such an extraordinary experience. Thank you for 10 beautiful London shows and for 41 incredible Eternal Sunshine Tour shows."

Ariana became visibly emotional while speaking about the opportunity to "connect" with her supporters throughout the previous two months.

"This has been one of the most beautiful, extraordinary experiences of my life and I just want to express my gratitude without sobbing completely," the 33 year old continued. "But really, thank you from the bottom of my heart; it's been so special and I'll cherish this experience always and I have the best fans in the entire world and I always have. And I love your outfits, I love your faces, I love seeing you, I love connecting with you in this way."

Before leaving the stage, Ariana expressed her appreciation to everyone who came to the concerts and continued supporting her songs.

"Thank you for all of your effort for making this so special. All your messages and your costumes and your wardrobe and makeup is just so beautiful. I have loved every minute of this with you all and I just want to make sure I express how grateful I am. Thank you and I love you so much," she smiled.

In August, the Hate That I Made You Love Me singer revealed plans to step away for a while following the conclusion of the tour so she could recover and regain her energy.

"Human beings can need a break sometimes," the Break Free artist told the crowd during a performance in Chicago, Illinois. "No matter what noises exist out there, nothing will ever be able to distort my reality or be more real to me or louder to me than this love that we share in this room. Or how it feels to make art with the people that I love and respect. Absolutely nothing will change that or distort that for me."

Ariana unveiled her eighth studio record, Petal, in late July.
