If you’re into a super heavy, low tempo track with a soothing beat, but also some dark undertones, look no further than David the Bully’s “Crashin’ Out.”

The Colorado based engineer/producer teamed up with Tayzzy on a strong debut single that’s part of an upcoming EP called Black Swan Event, which will be out in June of 2026.

The song starts with an emotional phone call from a woman with some smooth saxophone laying the backdrop, and then with a slam out of the gate, Tayzzy drops in with a cutting line of lyrics.

“I can let you go
I could let you know”

Tayzzy’s hypnotic, droning voice carries the listener through the soothing soundscape, complete with a steady backbeat. It culminates in ominous fashion, with the police pounding on the door telling everyone to get down with sirens blaring.

David deals with different artists and producers, and sometimes it takes some tinkering around with an idea. But when he heard this beat, the idea was right there in his face. He worked with a three different singers that he said just didn’t bring what he wanted to the table, but then he found Tayzzy, and he knew he found exactly what he needed for the track.

“I went to Los Angeles Film School, and I met this incredible writer,” he says. “So, I was like, I’ll link up with her and see if she can pull it off.”

A few minutes into working on the track, Tayzzy found her groove and they were on their way. David then adds in his elements and flare to the song, trying to keep the listener engaged the whole way through.

“Each beat, every bar, all the delays, we really wanted to bring that atmosphere and the essence,” David says.

David has been involved in music all his life, dating back to his early teenage years making mix tapes on cassette. He grew up in Oceanside, California, but when he was 14, he moved to Greensboro, N.C. where the entire vibe musically was different. David worked at a local radio station, getting immersed into all kinds of music during his high school years before joining the Army and being stationed in Germany.

“Germany was dope,” he says. “They had a big hip hop scene and I met one of my main artists I work with out there.”

This is where he connected with Mystikstyles, a musician he has found success with opening for artists in front of thousands of people. He also collaborates with his cousin Vernon Keith, and behind the scenes, David has been the one coordinating recording sessions and selecting beats.

After 15 years of military service, David went to Colorado Media School for radio and TV broadcasting, which is where he linked up with Denver artist Eaze. He also earned a Bachelor’s in Entertainment Business from the Los Angeles Film School, and studied music production.

The goal was to have a natural ear for rhythm, and this kind of schooling only helped David hone his craft.

From growing up surrounded by gang activity, to traveling around the world in the military and education, David has seen all walks of life. He’s listened to all different kinds of music, saying that he listens to a lot of Afrobeats like Burna Boy, but also goes back to his roots with major influences like Dr. Dre, 2Pac and Tribe Called Quest.

“With all the places I’ve lived, they’ve all got different vibes and music,” he said. “I try to blend everything and make me. I’m trying to come up with a new sound, or my sound. I’m trying to do me. So I’ll show you my sound if see if you all like it.”

The new EP will have eight songs, and he said he is taking his time and wants to get “Crashin’ Out” to the public for a taste. But here’s the thing: The Black Swan Event is going to be completely different from front to back.

“I always try to keep it different and work with different artists,” he said. “I want to showcase each individual. So sometimes it is very, very hard because I’ll go through hundreds of beats before finding the perfect artist to work with.”

David is excited to share his collaboration with a wide network of artists, producers, and engineers, where he is creating polished music that tells not only tales from the streets, but also his military discipline and love of art.

“I treat every song like a movie and I’m the director of it,” David says. “Like George Lucas making Star Wars, everything has to be perfect.”

It is David the Bully’s full intent to have the listener locked in and fully enthralled with the underlying story being told in each track. He is putting his heart and soul into every second of this EP, saying he has “writing that resonates, beats that hit, and performances that leave an imprint.

“I believe in myself and I’m going all in on this project," he says. “When people hear the name David the Bully, I want people to know these songs are going to be masterfully crafted. It is going to be timeless with a story behind it.”
