Artist Spotlight: Carlos Fajardo

The song was inspired by Fajardo’s own mother, an immigrant from Honduras who sacrificed for a better life for Carlos and his brothers. But Fajardo sees the message as bigger than just his own life story.

We sat down with Carlos Fajardo to talk about artistry, authenticity, and the impact of staying true to one’s voice.

FreshMusicWorld: What aspects of your latest project feel most representative of where you are now?

Carlos Fajardo:I feel more motivated to keep making original music.

FreshMusicWorld: Were there any unexpected challenges that shaped the final outcome?

Carlos Fajardo:I didn’t expect that I could finish a recorded song on the second take.

FreshMusicWorld: How do you think about your audience when you’re creating new material?

Carlos Fajardo: I want them to be inspired by my music.

FreshMusicWorld: What kind of response from listeners feels most meaningful to you?

Carlos Fajardo: When they take the time to thank me for sharing.

FreshMusicWorld: How do you maintain a connection with listeners as your work evolves?

Carlos Fajardo: By using platforms to play music live for the audience.

Carlos Fajardo: They enjoy the music I am sharing.

Carlos Fajardo: By creating my own original music, it helps me become more interesting.

Carlos Fajardo: To inspire young artists to create their own songs.

Carlos Fajardo: Working on playing and creating new blues songs.

Carlos Fajardo: By sharing my music more often.
