LOS ANGELES - With a fresh new sound, Dylan Carbone is one of the hardest-working artists in the industry. He hits the stage at Disneyland five to eight times a week singing cover songs as well as original material. “My music is a fusion of who and what I am,” said Dylan Carbone. “Most of my songs are like personal diary letters to the world. I don’t stick to one genre, but my favorite is R&B and soul. The curveball is that I like to commingle my songs in Spanish and English. I love the R&B sound in Spanish.”

Carbone’s songs span a multitude of styles, including Latin, R&B, Reggaeton, and pop. While many artists fit into these genres, Carbone separates himself from the pack. Often called the Latin Chris Brown or Latin Bruno Mars, Carbone combines English and Spanish for a perfect blend, bringing a fresh sound to mainstream vibes.

“English is my first language, but Spanish is considered my love language,” he said. Carbone’s mother was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, and his father is a third-generation Italian.

Whether good love, bad love or anything between, love is unmistakably a recurring theme in Carbone’s work. The singer/songwriter is drawn to the mysterious magic that envelopes the emotion.

“Amor can be in so many different situations, relations, especially my personal life,” Carbone said. “Love seems to be my thang. It inspires me, it moves me. I can also hear a piano lick or cool flute, which triggers something in me. That’s how I write and make my music. It’s my art, my music is my canvas.”

“Gone,” Carbone’s latest single guides us along the rocky road of love. With a banging tempo and harmonies that perfectly accompany his soulful Latin voice, the track is the perfect tune for busting some moves on the dance floor or going for a drive.

The single was written lightning fast. In 15 minutes Carbone created a sonic journey based on the memory of his past love breaking things off on his birthday.

“I needed a way to get my feelings out,” Carbone said. “I heard the beat and knew it was ‘the’ beat for it.”

In his unique style, the Southern California native directs his lyrics to his ex-girlfriend as she proposes an ultimatum of marriage or break up, and Carbone chooses break-up. His fans ride along as spectators on the emotional and surprising ride.

Instead of creating a heartbreak vibe, “Gone” accompanies a music video that mixes Carbone’s freedom with the memories of his relationship’s turbulent moments. The video has amassed more than a half million views on YouTube, illustrating Carbone’s star power.

“‘Gone’ is more skin deep and not real deep love. I throw shots at her and wish her luck, but I proceed in saying it won’t be as good as what we had,” Carbone said.

Released by Epic Entertainment Records, Carbone takes an active role in the studio, working with producer Levi Mitchell and studio engineers to fine-tune the mix and put his personal touches on the track.
