Spotify revealed today (Feb. 27) that The Weeknd has become the first artist to reach 100 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
The streaming service revealed the news on social media writing, “It’s official: On February 27, The Weeknd became the first artist in Spotify History to reach 100 Million monthly listeners.”
The Weeknd is seeing new resurgence of his song ‘Die For You’ — the track remaining in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 for the last seven weeks, with a peak position at No.6.
The original ‘Die For You’ appeared on The Weeknd’s 2016 Starboy. He recently recruited Ariana Grande for the remix of the track, which is projected to reach #1 on the charts next week.
