JPEGMAFIA was forced to end his tour stop in Berlin early after six people were injured by pepper spray – though the cause is not yet clear.

As reported by German news agency dpa and translated by The AP, around 1,600 concertgoers were evacuated to a nearby parking lot after the incident broke out on Monday (January 20). Police are currently investigating what caused the six people to be involved with pepper spray, but nothing has been reported as of this writing.

The show was part of Peggy’s Lay Down My Life tour, which continues in Milan, Italy on Wednesday (January 22).

The trek is in support of his latest project I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU – which found him flagrantly dissing Drake by referencing Kendrick Lamar‘s allegation that he’s pedophile.

“Private school rappers don’t know what it is / If I show you a Drac’, I ain’t playin’ with kids,” he raps.

The experimental MC/producer jabs Drake again on the very next song, “New Black History” which features Vince Staples, spitting: “When I come around better stare at the floor / ‘Cause I’m in that mode, on my own I got that flavor (Jonathan Major) / ‘Specially when y’all cashing out for PDFs and rapers (No Drizzy).”

After the lyrics started going viral in July, JPEGMAFIA took to X to double down on his disparaging bars and call out Drake’s fans.

“1st off i been dissing that n-gga since 2016, them shits was throwaway bars not noteworthy,” he wrote. “Second off if anybody got a problem with what i said on this album, my tour dates in bio.

“Third, y’all cant even pay your rent but defending drake for free, go outside and be somebody.”

Peggy has previously discussed why he does not like Drake, saying to Billboard in 2018: “I been randomly dissing Drake for like five years. I don’t know why. I guess, because Drake, it’s kinda you know what? I thought before, I don’t actually have a problem with Drake. I really don’t hate him.

“I guess it’s my fucked up, trolly internet way of paying homage to him and just paying homage to how big he actually is. He’s so big that yeah, I have been dissing him for five years, just because like he’s big as fuck.

“He’s like the Omni-king or some shit like that. He’s just like ever-present. So much so that every single person has an opinion on Scorpion whether it’s like bad or good.”
