Zach Bryan is set to drop a new collaboration with Lana Del Rey later this week.

The country star has teamed up with the Video Games singer on Lies, a track featured on his forthcoming EP, Young Manhood and Other Donatable Organs, arriving Friday (16.10.26).

The eight-song release will also include a collaboration with country group Turnpike Troubadours on Plainsman.

Zach announced the news on Instagram, writing: “Young Manhood and Other Donatable Organs is everywhere this Friday, October 16th…Love you guys very much and hope you enjoy it…Thanks for a great year on the road.”

In a post on his Instagram Story, the musician revealed that the idea for the EP came to him after he watched the 2016 neo-noir psychological thriller Nocturnal Animals "a few years ago".

Earlier this year, Bryan released an acoustic recording of his latest album, With Heaven On Top, in response to criticism from listeners who believed the original version was "over produced".

Explaining his decision in an Instagram post at the time, he said: "I figured this album would get the same reaction as all the others, with a billion people calling it over produced and s****, so I went into a room alone and recorded every song acoustically to avoid hearing everyone complain about something else.

"I made a few mistakes and left them in rather than recording the songs again, but the acoustic version will be released three days after With Heaven On Top comes out tomorrow."

In another post, he added: "The acoustic version of the album arrives three days after With Heaven On Top comes out tomorrow. Hope you don't hate it."

The record also included the new song Bad News, which sparked widespread debate after a snippet surfaced last year.

The track appeared to criticise US President Donald Trump and reflect on the country's increasingly divided political climate. However, Bryan previously asked listeners to wait for the "full context" before passing judgement on the song.

Addressing the controversy in a statement shared on his Instagram Story, the singer said: "This is an example of how a divisive message can take hold when social media keeps forcing it down our throats.

"This song is about how deeply I love this country and everyone in it, more than anything else. Once you hear the rest of the track, you'll understand the full context, which speaks to both sides of the political divide.

"People turning this song into a weapon are only showing just how deeply divided we've become. We need to find our way back."
