Momma have announced details of their new album ‘Welcome To My Blue Sky’ and shared the lead single ‘I Want You (Fever)’ – listen below.

The Brooklyn-based four-piece will release the album on April 4 via Lucky Number / Polyvinyl and you can pre-order/pre-save it here. It will be the band’s fourth album in total and serves as the follow-up to 2022’s ‘Household Name’.

‘I Want You (Fever)’ showcases the band’s spiky, ‘90s-throwback indie aesthetic, with hooky, double-vocal leads and scuzzy, slacker guitar lines. Watch the Jaxon Whittington-directed video below.

Speaking about the song, the band have said: “‘I Want You (Fever)’ is a song we wrote about wanting to be with someone who has a girlfriend, or someone who isn’t over their ex. It’s pining after someone, but there’s also some confidence knowing that that person wants to be with you. The second we wrote that song we felt like we were entering a new era – we scrapped everything we had written for the album up to that point because it felt so fresh and so exciting.”

‘Welcome to My Blue Sky’ follows the band’s last full-length release, 2022’s ‘Household Name‘. In a four-star review of the LPNME shared: “While the record doesn’t provide too much up-and-down sonically, everything is streamlined as much as possible to aim for a collection of taut three-minute rock songs. The ambition on show throughout ‘Household Name’ is to be lauded in itself, and Momma deserve to be viewed like the rockstars they sing of.”
