Rilo Kiley have announced a 2025 North American headline reunion tour – check below for full details.

The indie band had previously announced they were set to play their first official shows since 2021 at the Just Like Heaven festival in Pasadena later this year, as well as Salt Lake City’s Kilby Block Party.

In January, a billboard popped up in Echo Park and revealed Rilo Kiley would return at the California event this May, along with Vampire Weekend, Empire of the Sun, Bloc Party, and the recently reformed TV on the Radio.

Today (February 4), Jenny Lewis and co. have announced the ‘Sometimes When You’re On, You’re Really Fucking On Tour’, which will see them join Julien Baker & TORRES for one date at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

As of the time of writing, the dates are being referred to as “the May leg”, indicating more should follow. Tickets go on sale this Friday (February 7) at 10am local time. You can find yours here, and find a full list of dates below.

The upcoming run of shows will mark their first show together since a one-off gig in 2021, when Lewis and lead guitarist Blake Sennett briefly reunited for Linda Perry’s Rock-N-Relief livestream benefit. This saw them perform the track ‘Let Me Back In’, which originally appeared on Rilo Kiley’s compilation ‘RKives’ in 2013.

“It’s going to be wonderful for us, like going back to the purest version of yourself, that early 20s place where everything is possible,” Lewis said of their upcoming dates (via Stereogum).

“You’re in a van and Jason’s got the map, Pierre is behind the wheel, and I’m on the shitty acoustic guitar on the bench seat working out a new song with Blake. I don’t think it’s ever been as good as that, when it was just us against the world.”

While previous live shows have been few and far between since 2011, Rilo Kiley did reissue their rare self-titled debut album in 2020 and made it available on streaming services for the first time. The LP was originally released in 1999 on the band’s own label Rilo Records.

Meanwhile, in 2019, Lewis told NME she was open to getting the band back together. “Sure!” Lewis replied when asked if a reunion could be in her future. “I did a Postal Service reunion tour a couple of years ago, so I’m open to anything these days. My mantra is ‘Yes’.”

Back in 2023, the singer also spoke to NME again about the prospect of a Rilo Kiley reunion, dismissing immediate hopes by saying: “I’ve got a lot on my plate […] We’re not talking about it, but it’s not off the table.”
