News : Drake Jabs LeBron James With Subtle Lyric Change During Australian Tour Opener

Perth, Australia - Drake has thrown some shade at LeBron James by changing the lyrics to “Nonstop” during his the opening night of his Anita Max Win Tour in Australia.

On the original 2018 track, Drizzy shouted out the NBA star by rapping: “How I go from 6 to 23 like I’m LeBron?”

But he made a subtle change to the song during his show in Perth on Tuesday (February 4) after their relationship appears to have soured over the last year.

Instead, the 6 God spat: “How I go from 6 to 23 but not LeBron, man?”

Drake’s latest jab comes shortly after he seemingly dissed the Los Angeles Lakers leader on “Fighting Irish Freestyle.”

The track, the title of which nods to LeBron’s high school basketball team (the jersey of which is tattooed on Drizzy’s arm), features numerous shots at the future Hall of Famer.

The Toronto native appears to reference LeBron attending Kendrick Lamar‘s Pop Out concert last summer as he raps: “The world fell in love with the gimmicks, even my brothers got tickets / Seemed like they loved every minute / Just know this shit is personal to us, and it wasn’t just business.”

Drake also seems to reference how close the two once were: “‘Member we tradin’ watches? I gave you that Arabic dial, you gave me a numbered edition / You would even check up on my son like a pediatrician / Sure convinced the gang this shit was rooted in love when it isn’t / Show me how different we are, there’s blessings in juxtaposition.”

The 6 God later appears to accuse LeBron of disloyalty during his beef with Kendrick: “I guess now you boys gotta abandon your summer tradition / Cold shoulders I gave in the Hamptons, it come with the distance / Figured we was always gon’ be close, like ovens and kitchens / I was sadly mistaken, the loyalty wasn’t a given.”

Drake’s first performance in Australia also saw him deliver a defiant speech to the crowd, shortly after watching his fierce rival clean up at the Grammys with his hit diss song “Not Like Us.”

He said: “My name is Drake. I started doing music in 2008. I come all the way from Toronto, Canada. The year is now 2025, and no matter what, Drizzy Drake is very much alive and that’s all thanks to you. I love you.”
